These techniques are teaching principles. In an actual street fight the defender may modify the techniques and make them more effective. Thanks for the video!

The "sprung" energy Mr. Tatum demonstrates here (and in all of these videos) is incredible and something that can be seen in Mr. Parker's demonstrations as well (which of course, is where Mr. T learned it) It's an intensity that you just don't see in many modern/new AK practitioners and it's the difference between "hitting" a target and "moving through" a target.

I teach CHAOS KENPO, we focus on all student resisting NO choreographed techniques. Sparring must be initiated proving 1 2 3+ techniques don't work with a full speed fist dropping opponent. Kicks evasions punches and possible knees/elbows are factual usable fighting weapons. I still teach Kenpo but not in a set scheduled order. There is no order in fighting. Only chaod so fight as you train train as you fight. Spontaneous fighting. GM Ed Parker himself said first basics then the art can evolve. So let's evolve! Even tho i am just a little drop in the Kenpo bucket msybe i can overflow it's stagnation just a little bit to help.

THESE GUYS HAVE FAST HANDS WHICH IS GREAT BUT THEIR FIGHTING PRICIPLES ARE INEFFICIENT. THEY WAIT TOO LONG AND GIVE THE OPPONENT TIME TO KICK THEIR ASS.

I'd maybe learn more about an art before you call it inefficient, I study kenpo and I believe it's one of the most efficient styles out there. Also idk about you but I wouldn't wallop a guy just for shoving me lol, you frame the face so that in the event a punch does come you have a greater likelihood of knowing where it'll go to!

IF SOMEBODY PUSHES ME, I AM IN A FIGHT AND I AM NOT GOING SAY "HEY MAN RELAX". HE IS GOING DOWN NOW. I AM NOT GOIONG TO GIVE HIM TIME FOR A HAYMAKER. THIS IS BAD PHILOSOPHY ON FIGHTING AND WILL GET YOUR ASS KICKED. THIS IS THEIR PROBLEM.

1. DONT GET PUSHED- 2. IF YOU GET PUSHED YOU IMMEDIATELY ATTACK!! DO NOT WAIT FOR A 2ND ATTACK FROM OPPONENT. WHY DO THEY DO ALL THAT STUFF, FINISH THE ATTACKER WITH A FRACTION OF ENERGY.
@kungfusansootsoilihofuthun88954 жыл бұрын
Totally agree. It's unrealistic to think for one second anyone will move in straight continued punches allowing a dozen techniques. If one trains like this they will not move correctly when the attacker doesn't respond. This is exactly why i teach the opposite of this as CHAOS AMERICAN KENPO KARATE, all fights are unpredictable and the body is NOT a stiff robot. My chaos theory is realistic. Simplified straight combat. Sorry for my rambling response but it's utter BS
