I loved this and was a bit fascinated. I grew-up just on the other side of the Thames roughly from about where you camped, in a town I will not mention, and Canvey Island though to Southend and on to Shoeburyness were the beaches of my youth. I used to look across the river to Kent in the distance and wondered what lay on that side. A beautiful little spot you found to pitch-up on and I think I found it on the map. I wonder if Essex folk ever take a boat across for a day out? Btw, I think Kent has a few blue lights too!

Now for a moment of practical down to earthness.May I offer you this, that is perfect ground to sink the fuel canister low enough to make wind-shielding easy and reduce heat loss from the pan. Saves fuel, is more stable too. Your low key mini wanderings are perfect examples of the pleasures to be found close at hand, when time presses and distant wanderings can only be delayed ambition. Keep those videos coming buddy, they're a big part of my sanity medication, stay safe 'n many thanks.

Beach camping is the best i did it quite often with my uncle a few times growing up in Hawaii. Good cool breeze, plus you could go fishing if you get hungry.
