The 4 Championships in my lifetime. 3 were anticipated and the looky-looky in 98. Every one is special and never to be taken for granted.

96 is the best because they were Untouchable, but the 12 team is right there with them because they're Undeniable

The first time my parents took me and my little bro to Rupp was in 1978! I was just 11 and already a die-hard UK fan. How many of you all miss Rick Majerus? He was such a nice man and great coach...I have a lot of respect for him. I remember him saying that every time his team had to play Kentucky in the tournament, he broke out in hives..LOL

Exactly. We may not have as many titles as UCLA but theres were won mostly in a 12 period where as Kentucky has been in the top 10 in wins in every single decade. 5 coaches with titles proves without a doubt we are the best program. Also we have won titles in 5 different decades as well. Most wins, best win % ect. We are and always will be THE best program in the history of college hoops

The 96 team was definitely the best. There aren't many teams, if any, that won their first 4 NCAA Tournament games by 20 or more points. The 96 team was a force! There was no stopping them.

All were great teams. The 1996 team was the best IMO, but the 97-98 team and season were my favorites. Greatest game ever for me was the 1998 EE game against Duke.

But Just barely. im going to how many pro's this team had on it. im mean the second string were runners up in 97. and the third string won it in 98, 2. 2012 Super talented team. by far the best team since 96 3. 1978 A great team that spent the whole year on top of CBB. 4. 1998. This team wasn't a favorite that year. But still deserved that title because of teamwork and grit. if 96 team and 2012 played a 7 games series. i think 96 would win in 7

The best? Probably 1996 - not just the tournament win but things like scoring 86 points in a single half during the LSU game. That was something else. If I had a pick a favorite - probably 1998 - because we weren't named as favorites to win - it was a good team, but heart and drive got them to the title - coming back from as much as 18 points down against Duke, including 17 down with only 9 minutes left to go in the game, was phenomenal.

Great video! 96 for me was the best team EVER in NCAA history. the bench players went to the next 2 championship games. 78 doesnt get enough attention really. Nice to know that UK could beat duke even back in the day. 98 is my fav because they won everything...SEC reg season and SEC tourney before winning it all. Plus, that was the 92 latner game revenge fest in the elite 8. and the 12 team will always be the team w/the best talent with starting 5 and 6th man.

@bluegrassreb1: Kentucky didn't win the SEC tourney in 96. They did the same thing 2012 did, go 16-0 in conf play and won regular season title but lost to Mississippi State as 212 lost to Vandy....
