LOL....here, they are 6 axle dumps. Some guys call them "Quints" because of the 5 rear axles. It's all about making bridge loads. :D

That's due to the 9,800 pusher axles. All about that weight. :D

@@KenworthofRichfield Hendrickson? I have the 10k Henrickson's on my 7 axle. We were having weld and metal issues with the W&C.

@@MrSehka77 Too low ground clearance , we've had some trucks develop cracks in certain areas. We had a truck almost lost a axle assembly from where the welds had broken. There not bad axles, just need some refining done to the design.

Still miss running 27 tons in a 16 ft triaxle on an 80000 lb plate in KY. Sad that very lite weight and proper spec'd truck can only do 21 tons or so per regs. It's Awesome its only 2000 lbs heavier than my old tri axle. That had Dayton rims and a steel double floor bed and hand crank flip tarp.

It weighs less, costs less overall, and can haul darn close to the same total. The other part is the versatility. There's some tight spots in these areas that just make it tough to get a twisty neck in.

You'd lose about 14k of capacity without them because of bridge law.

Great questions Doug! So the 12 was approved for vocational use recently and is a great transmission. I believe that when we ordered this truck, it was not approved yet. We already know that the MX11 and 18 speed are a great combination. We're going to get a few more 12's out there working with the MX13 and see what else we may need to change to make sure that the MX11 and 12 speed work. It's all about making steps in the right direction. :D

@@KenworthofRichfield I got away from the Dura Brights cause our mechanic would always seem to scratch or mess them up when changing a tire. We have trucks that are 5 and 6 years old and they still have the shine even though they are scratched up.

We don't typically have many of those stocked. We typically just order them as customers need them.

Around here, it's the standard.

Andy does some great videos and he and I actually talk fairly often. There is also no way I could do the 1-take style of video the way he does. My brain just doesn't work that way. lol
