Who is your favourite?

I mean, I guess it’s possible but, I think Toronto might end up picking last and she will probably be gone by then. Torontos pretty stacked as it is 😅

She was projected at #2 so bit of a surprise. I wonder if her stock dropped at all at worlds. I didn’t feel like she was as big of a star at Ohio this year as BC where she seemed to make a lot of highlight reel plays. And I think a lot of the other younger players were more noticeable at worlds for both USA and Canada. Serdachny obviously a huge goal, and she’s looked great for Canada. Wasn’t able to watch her college games but obviously if you can play at the national level that’s more important. Cayla Barnes should be the first defenceman to go. So I kind of get it. Serdachny also has good size so I think they were just trying to illustrate three different types of players teams may go for. Skill, scorer. Bigger power forward. Or a defenceman.

@@pdubcentral I think she looked better at worlds than her stat sheet indicated, and Fillier's was certainly nothing special there so...yeah. Yeah I'm glad she's back. Good player and I'll admit very much a favorite of mine to watch. So dynamic, good skating, imo pretty complete player, don't think we've seen her best yet. So fun but in a non-cocky way off the ice, really good at articulating big things in a direct way and cutting through noise, very plugged into the male game...listening to her on the Amanda Kessel podcast I couldn't help seeing the similarities. If in 5-10 years they're talking about her as the next Kessel, there will be a case that we should've seen it coming.
