@@itsmswest - Although I liked the way my hair looked and felt after the treatment I began losing a ton of hair and after doing more research I found out that the formaldehyde does cause hair loss. I stopped using the product and my hair started growing back. I’ve since decided not to continue using the product.

TheBigpapax30 is keratin treatment safe and good for hair?

I had a keratin straightening treatment done in Mexico using the Alfaparf line. Absolutely no harsh chemicals. The stylist worked on my hair for almost 4 hours. (My hair is wavy, coarse and super frizzy) I had no clue what to expect because it was my first time. She blowed dry it straight, flat ironed it to perfection and there were absolutely no smell or smoke. Until now that I’m researching how to do it myself I’ve noticed the warnings about most products and how it burns people eyes but not with the product she used on me. Anyways, I found the treatment online so I’m thinking I should just buy it. It’s called Alfaparf lisse smoothing if I’m not mistaken. My hair was straight for almost a year! It’s so important to have proper ventilation. This brand has come out with a formaldehyde free formula I’ll be trying and reviewing soon !

Safer than coloring and perming absolutely but you must also consider current damage to your natural hair before trying any product. If you’re not sure ask a salon professional first.

I stopped using the product because I went back natural! But I loved it when I was using it. I used it roughly 4 times over a 2 year time frame and was very happy with it.

As of now i'm not using the product because I decided to go natural and embrace my curly hair after I gave birth. I plan on uploading new videos about that soon!

during application I would do it exactly how the company advises. And although some people style their hair that way afterwards, I don't recommend it because flat irons can be damaging to your hair if used incorrectly. If you don't blow dry first you would make the iron work harder and use unnecessary heat on the hair. I hope this helps

great question. This helped make my strands feel smoother since the cuticle becomes more closed. My hair is naturally high porosity this makes it more normal porosity it does not make the strand thicker.

I just tried this 5 days ago and it sucks. The bottle was sealed and it seamed legit but as soon as i washed my hair, my hair went back to original frizzy curly wavy hair. They were a bit smooth and silky for about 2 days but its all gone. I did EXACTLY as they said in the website video. I waited as long as they said and iron my hair as long as they said with salon flat ironing. I am a guy but i have done keratin before by a salon before my wedding and it lasted 3.5 months with no frizz and straight. I am a 35 year old guy. Glad i only wasted $35.

You need a clarifying shampoo prior to starting a keratin treatment. The one that goes with the product will always be recommended.

If you feel like your hair doesn't need more product except the roots you absolutely can. This can help avoid over processing it. Most people still drag some through the hair once they use the comb. It's ok to have more product at the roots and less at the middle or ends. Listen to your hair always.

You will need to use keratin safe shampoos and conditioners :)

Any sulfate free shampoo and conditioner is what I’ve seen used. The important thing is to make sure they’re sulfate free

Thanks babe! So sulfate free for after care but I would use the company clarifying shampoo for before the treatment. Clarifying shampoo does open cuticles which can release color so if you use toner you may need to redo your toner sometime after this application. Hope that helps! Xo

yes! it really does cut frizz if you follow the instructions you wont be dissapointed.

Yes girl! wear a mask... the fumes can be irritating. If you have goggles and they don't get in the way of the hair go for it. These are professional products and so taking precautions is very smart!

The mask is to protect you from the fumes of the product. Not to protect you from others in this case.
