I second this as well. Currently looking at pre-fab homes in California that look like homes and not boxes but finding the costs similar to stick built starting at $500K. I thought the whole point of pre-fab homes was to find affordable housing.

The price isn't that bad considering the style and size. Lucky AUD and CAD along with NZD are basically interchangeable most days so there isn't much of a price shock when converted to Canadian. Other than perhaps issues with cold/snow loads I'd take one for life here in Alberta!

It's a great product and the prices are better than any other company in this market. I like the steel framing. To compete in the US market they need to hire people in each region that has experience assembling the houses.

I agree to put pricing at end because, well, most wouldn't finish and just leave a nasty comment. BUT when you have decent pricing, try putting them up front and tease the best til last.

Hey Karry it’s been a long time since I commented on your video, but I am in the business and this review is one of your best, good pricing, great quality and very interesting and affordable housing units! That said your viewers must be aware of international shipping cost plus insurance along with US Customs duty and delivery to their site! Keep these cost in mind and work with a Customs Broker to avoid headaches! I am a retired CBP Officer so my advice will make the process easier!

A fully constructed dwelling would be my preference. Most models you talked about did not include laundry, only one. I would like to know how they adjust their models to meet local requirements and if there is additional costs . As always, thank you.

Not having a closet in the last Montage model may not be a big deal personally, but that will prevent the unit as being described by an appraiser as having a true bedroom which will impact the value.

Hi Kerry! My unpack travel policy is if I’m going to be staying more than 2 nights I unpack and hang my clothes. Anything less, my clothes stay in the bags. I say this as someone who travels a lot for work. It just feels nicer on longer trips to not have to dig through my back to get what I want to wear. ❤

Problem is almost every prefab shown on this channel is impossible to put in a residential neighborhood due to their size, zoning and other restrictions.

The models are looking fine! I prefer no closet space.. beautiful armoires are going for cheap and add character to the room. If it is for hospitality than a clothing rack is preferred. When renting Airbnb's I don't like hiding my stuff in a closet, which means I might forget it when I leave.

My concern is finding a qualified installer in my State and many contractors only built in urban areas where they are located. The ones in rural areas, build stick frames with house wrap and I do not want inferior construction or skill sets.

Nice Video, cool infos and interesting of a Australian Company shipping overseas, BUT . . . "WORLDWIDE" is not mentioned! No matter if Studio or Farmhouse, ONLY shipped to US, most states or Australia. No Europe, No Africa . . . I guess, shipping will be double then Price? Austrian or German Company is doing the same thing. So i guess the idea was not that new. Shipping is a drag with most companies, some don't even bother with even if you try to arrange for a cargo company with factory pick up! This is what they say on there Aussie webpage about shipping: "Prefabricated models can be delivered anywhere in Australia and the United States in a flat-packed panelized system." ..... Worldwide not listed or mentioned, not even all US states are possible! So look careful, before getting too excited!

Light gage steel, no termites chopping through the framing. @4:58, the bedroom being at the front is fine so long as the street door is not in there. 😂 @5:58, put the kitchen on the wall where the built in cupboard appears to be and leave that long expanse of space for storage and a media centre. The problem with a lot of these mod homes is the expanse of glass. There is no wall space for furniture/storage.

Is it rude or crude to find something like these that can be shipped to our lot near Texas but in Oklahoma? Have you ever shipped ANYTHING? Try shipping anything. First it gets weighed. Recently I bought some beef organs. Organs $60, shipping $30. A house weighs way more than chicken livers. I need a house so if you’re going to help could you just list names of companies? I’m getting tired of not being able to buy a prefab house. And I need one. With lettuce.
