Het Kathedrale Koor St. Bavo onder leiding van Fons Ziekman en Sanne Nieuwenhuijsen zingt onder andere de 'Pastoral Messe' van Diabelli en delen uit 'Ceremony of Carols' van Britten.
Solisten zijn Jasper Schweppe, Anouk van Laake, Floris Claassens, Hidde Kleikamp en Frank de Ruijter.
Koor en solisten worden begeleid door Ton van Eck op orgel, Auréli Husslage op harp en het Promenade Orkest (www.hetpromenadeorkest.nl).

The Choir of the Cathedral of Saint Bavo in Haarlem (The Netherlands) sings the 'Pastoral Messe' by Diabelli and parts from the 'Ceremony of Carols' by Britten.Conducted by Fons Ziekman and Sanne Nieuwenhuijsen.

Wonderful concert! I'm watching this in 2023. Our world is a mess, and I needed respite. When I read *The Hiding Place*, I always wondered what St. Bavo's looked like: now I know. I loved all the choirs (especially the girls' choir doing Britten's "Ceremony on Carols"-- brings back memories of my own younger choral days), and that darling harpist.

I´m Listening this in Brazil, where beside our other crises, the Covid-19 crisis have been a kind of joke, unfortunally. This music makes the magic of put us closer to God... it sounds like a God whisper and filling us all of hope and grace. Thank you and God bless you all.

Ik heb in de jaren 60 dit gezongen in de kerk in Alkmaar en heb nu nog de grammofoon plaat kerstmis in de kathedraal van uit de st. Bavo uit Haarlem en draai hem nog steeds .ik woon in z. Frankrijk.

Ik heb lang geleden als misdienaar in deze kerk gediend. Wat ik van deze registratie niet begrijp waarom de prachtige beeldengroep van de kerststal niet in beeld is gekomen. Grote prachtige ornamenten, de mooiste kerststal die ik ooit gezien heb.
