This video was super helpful for me. I watched it yesterday and was able to set this building up today. I did it solo in 8 hours. There were two times I had to get help for about 10 minutes total. Nice quality shed and the instructions were so good! #2 Phillips on my drill and a ladder is about all I needed. Thank you guys!

I assemble stuff for people all the time but specialize in Lifetime brand and Suncast brand sheds, this was my first time doing a Keter shed so I watched this video two times through and had it assembled in 4 hours solo! Thanks for the video, I’m much more of a visual learner than looking at instructions

Just built a 7x7. Exactly the same as the 11x7. Couple of top tips. The wall panels can be VERY tight. Rather than hammer them with a rubber mallet and risk damaging the tongue and groove edging, apply a little grease along the edge. They'll slip in no problem. Beware! Don't use oil. The oil will run down the edging a will 'pool' along the metal bottom. The walls will then soak up the oil and leave an unsightly stain at the bottom of the walls. Top tip #2 - use an awl to make pilot holes for those screws which require you to make your own holes. Cuts down on dropping screws before they catch. Lastly, Top tip #3, cover any gaps with masking tape along the bottom of the walls along the floor below where you are screwing in screws. I lost a screw through the gap in the floor and it fell between the cavity floor. Thanks for the video - it was really helpful! The instruction booklet was mostly good but I had to go to your video for clarification on a few occasions.

I purchased this same exact shed and although I don’t typically have problems with items of this many parts and screws, I did acquire a bit of a heads up as I was watching you guys build it. I don’t really accept help doing what I do but parts of the shed are pretty big and my wife (who’s as gorgeous as the woman in this video) has no prob giving me a hand now that I know I’ll need her. Thanks guys 👍🏾

For the final step of putting the screws in the base, how did you get them in at the back where it’s against the wall? I’ve just ordered the 9x7 version of this shed and I also want it backed up against a wall. Do you think I could put those screws in on that side earlier in the build when it would still be possible to move the shed into place?
@headsofestate
@headsofestate Жыл бұрын
I could still shimmy it away from the wall after it was built to fix the back screws in, but I don't see why you couldn't screw them in earlier like you suggested.
@garyludwig7564
@garyludwig7564 Жыл бұрын
That's exactly what we did when we assembled our 9X7. Assuming it's on a solid base it's actually pretty easy to shimmy it back and forth into place.

Hello, I am writing from France where I enjoyed watching the assembly of your garden shed. I just received mine, exactly the same, the Keter Artisant 117! Question... Mine will be glued along the neighbor's fence, is it necessary to leave a passage to screw things behind? If there are screws in the back, are they to be put at the bottom of the panels or at the top on the roof elements? Thank you very much for your answer, I hope it will give you complete satisfaction! Sincerely Pascal from Orleans, near Paris. PS: Excuse me for the translation, I am on DeepL...

@@headsofestate Thank you! Glad to see that you had fun working on that project. I didn't get your explanation why you went with tiles as opposed to a concrete slab. You've mentioned the slight slope of your property, but a poured concrete would have created a horizontal surface just like tiles did.

Nice video... Was good to confirm I've assembled mine correctly last weekend, but had some rain today and noticed water in four locations on the floor at the back directly below the rear roof fixings showed at 21:21 of your video.. Not sure, but it seems to be tracking back from the roof fixing on the exterior in.. Really odd.. Need to reach out to Keter it must have happened to other owners?

Nice one, we had some heavy heavy rain with 90km winds these past two days, but no leaks inside the shed so far 🤞. Perhaps you can try putting some roof and gutter silicone on any gaps on the roof you find? Let me know what Keter tell you.

Nick you both work so well together. There’s a few problem with your installation and I may be wrong but your concrete pat is too low to the ground especially after a heavy rain fall or winter thaw. Complete seal all areas and keep your fingers crossed that you do not get a flood

DO NOT RECOMMEND! I am very disappointed ... The shed itself is nice, but during the assembly, which I have done exactly pursuant to the video and the written guide provided by the manufacturer, the ladder (same as in the video) broke into the floor and damaged it. The problem is that the floor is hollow (just two quite thin plastic sheets with plastic ribs between them). If you put the ladder (or anything else heavy) outside the ribs, it breaks through the top sheet. The manufacturer denies any responsibility …
