***** About Living Traditions Homestead *****
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out new videos every week! We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

Exactly, we've reversed my husband's diabetes AND healed his lymphadema wounds by eating keto. You should do what Kevin and Sara did and have your doctor do bloodwork before you start and monitor as you go because you or your son may have other underlying health challenges. As for me, my blood pressure is down, blood sugar (A1C) is close to normal and my blood panels are very healthy. Also, my arthritis has for the most part subsided. There are some foods that trigger it in my knees but I think it's mostly due to the type of salt used in those particular foods. Best of luck. I hope you give it a try. It's been a game changer for us for sure. Not sure what to do with all of the potatoes and sweet potatoes I canned and freeze dried though.....

I went cold turkey KETO/low-carb five years ago when I went from pre diabetic to full-blown diabetes. w/in 2 months My diabetes was gone, A1c was down to 5.2 & in 6 months 68# fell off with no activity change! I realized then that I was addicted to carbs. But those cravings quickly went away. You’re right, You are not only eating healthier but better tasting food-once you get the carbs = sugar basically ‘out’.🤗 my grocery bill actually went DOWN 🛒-despite people saying “it is too costly to go low-carb”

Boy, y’all look fabulous ❤. I have been on keto since end of May, losing 60 lbs. However, I have been on a stall for over a month. Nothing has changed in my diet and I eat mostly eggs these days so not really sure what is going on. Love these cooking videos. I am contemplating making Chicken and Dumplings with the Carbquick mix. Just the day for it. It is raining and cool. The dampness sinks to your bones😣

Hey 60 pounds! That’s awesome! Congratulations!!!!🎉 I e been on since August 2023 and have lost 35 lbs. I get stuck too from time to time. From what I’ve read it could be you need more fat. I’ve also read intermittent fasting can get you back on track. I’ve done both and have to say, it worked for me. Good luck on your keto lifestyle.

Congratulations! Don't give up, the stall may not show up on the scale, but your body is fixing itself on the inside and the stall will eventually disappear. I have lost over 100 pounds so far. My husband and I have been KETO over 7 years. Simply love the change in our health...He's 72, I'm 75 and our blood work is always perfect. We both had stalls in weight loss the second year. Just keep-on keeping-on and don't worry...our bodies know better than we do once we begin repairing the damage from eating the garbage, in the foods our government approves, for so many years. We enjoy eating usually one meal daily without being hungry and intermittent fasting. Life is so worth living. May God bless you each and every day.

I really appreciate the keto food idea videos as we have started eating keto as well - influenced largely by your lab result video after one year of eating keto. Keto is going great for us, we’ve both lost about 20 pounds after two months. I have found a keto, maple syrup product on Amazon, that I use very sparingly on chaffles occasionally and boy is it good! Also, I’m going to have to look for those air fry pans you’re using, it looks like the chicken crisps up nicely with those pans on the air fryer or convection setting of your oven. Another great video. Thanks for all you do!

When I make choffles, I make them with the mozzarella cheese, but add a bit of cheddar to the waffle maker before I pour in the coffle mixture, and then add a bit on top before I close it up. It gives you a bit of the crunch that cheddar brings without using all your cheddar up.

Do you make your own pork rind? It's so easy, when you butcher you scrap hair off skin, when you take skin and Big layer of fat off, you skin the fat, take the skin and boil until soft, dabb dry, then put in very hot grease in deep fried. That causes it to bubble up to that Buffy stag. Won't work if you don't boil first.

When we calf shared, we would milk the cow out and then put the calf on so mama let down the cream. Then we removed the calf and milked that out too. Seeing that you leave the calf one quarter anyway, it would be a simple thing for you to do this. It would mean you had to wash the teats again and reattach the milking machine, but you would get the cream from the 3 quarters you harvest. I always hand milked..

So many great keto recipes with porks rinds, I wish I could eat them! Just like goat cheese that's great fresh the day of making often tastes like goat musk a day or two later, pork rinds are best straight from the fryer and taste really strong after a few days. I have not found a brand of bagged pork rinds that I can stand, but fresh from a southern restaurant they're amazing! So we don't do much keto "breaded" stuff because even after 10 years keto, I just don't like pork rinds.

I add the cheese directly on to the waffle iron on the bottom, then pur eggs (no cheese added to eggs) and the sprinkle remaining cheese on top of the eggs. This makes a crispy exterior

Your meal looks very delicious. The only thing I might add would be some keto ranch dressing to dip those chicken nuggets in. So easy, and so much better than the bottled stuff!
