Well i read that the chicken ingredient is added post-dehydration, so the percentage of the formula that is chicken is actually 75% in the final product. Hence the low carbs. Even though peas are the next ingredient, im wondering if its still technically a lower amount than the industry counterparts. I dont know though, im just adding a factor that no one has talked about yet.

Hi, definitely not a fan of Diamond Natural The first 5 ingredients are: Chicken, chicken meal, whole grain brown rice, cracked pearled barley, white rice Meaning, other than the actual chicken mean, the rest are either carbs or low quality meat meals Basically, this food is mostly rice and grains. The carb content is around 47%, which means they're charging for s dog food bag that is almost half sugar The other thing that bothers me is they use clearly fake reviews online. They all use the same talking points, and one of them is "better than home-made," which is absurd Even for grain heavy food, it's expensive. There are better "economical" choices Hope that helps 🐕❤️

I doubt there are much peas. Peas are a starch and a carbohydrate. Probably added for fiber

Peas are the third ingredient, meaning they make up a significant amount of this product. They're not for fiber. There are many ways of adding fiber. Peas are used as a cheap filler. They add bulk. They're charging people a lot of money for a bag of peas featuring chicken

Well it’s the only carb on ingredient list so has to be less than 6% which is the amount of carbs the advertise

Any recommendations for higher fiber diet to help firm up stool? Tried honest kitchen and Ollie but didn’t help much. I was only looking into ketona cause their fiber is 11%

Hi, try adding chia seeds (soaked) to your pup's food. Or, a high fiber, high water content vegetable like pumpkin 🎃, zucchini, broccoli 🥦, or spinach Pumpkin and chia are two of the best for regularity, firm stool, and GUT health, too
