I love this series. Yes Mark has given us all these tidbits in the past gajillion video, but making it lift by numbers makes is easier for me to help people learn. Thanks Mark for all your time and energy.

Thank you for everything you do for us out here, Mark. I love your videos. Your instruction & explanations are unequaled. I am now the proud owner of an Adex Club & the adjustable competition bell (got mine from Bella of Steel). I purchased your two hand club program from Strong & Fit. Really great stuff. The locations and cinematography of this latest series is great. Watching the growth of your production values over time is really fun. What you’re doing is changing lives for the better. Keep up the great work!

This is awesome! So useful in learning a well-executed movement. It took me a while to understand the extent to which each little detail of technique is integrated into the systematic MW method.

Pure brilliance Mark. Using the other hand and positioning correctly change the clean for me TYSM

as always the best kettlebell content out there! No matter how you look at it. Might give cleans a try once more with the help of this.

thank you, very useful reminders to correct bad form unconsciously developed over time; love your varied settings - you really can take your kettlebells anywhere, no excuses for slacking 😊

The kettlebell clean and snatch are exactly the two reasons why I bought competition kettlebells. Great breakdown =). I'm going to start over my cleans since I need to clean up my technique.

I really love you way of teaching and am enjoying this series. Your content is great. Do you mind sharing what kind of pants you wear? I see you do some deep stretches in them. Thank you.

This is great, been doing TOi for the past 4.5 mos and I have the px at the top and pick up correct, now I can focus on putting the bell back down. Thanks Mark!

Thanks for this Mark ! I'll definitely use this drill once I start a cycle of C&P again. One observation I'd like to get your thoughts on regarding the C&P. In the past whenever I did this movement, I'd barely bang my arms bringing it to rack position with my non-dominant hand. On my strong side however, I had trouble consistently not hitting myself over long periods. I find this peculiar since you'd think this would occur on my weaker side, not my strong one. Maybe strong-side doesn't necessarily include being well-coordinated as well 🤔

yes you could do a how too use a heavy kettlebell ,for over head press . as if you are going out and about and can only take one kettlebell ,you need a heavy kettlebell for swings and squats ,which would be too much for over head press . two arm assist press

Great series! I do have a question on the lowering part of the C&P. Before I lower/drop the kettlebell from the rack position, how should the kettlebell be properly gripped? should it be tight or a little loose and what part of the hand is in contact with the handle? how much does the KB shift in the palm area?

If you are duck-footed or pigeon-toed should you still align your feet straight ahead?

Yes, The other positions put your knees in a compromised position. Mark covers this in the previous videos in this series. This movement links to movements like lunges, walking, squats, etc.

Safer and better executed if swinging to clean (Russian) than squatting to clean (American), at beginning and end.

@Brady Lambert: Could you explain why "swinging to clean" is a "safer" technique that "squatting to clean"? To my understanding, the clean is a (more) ballistic movement which means it requires more of (& places more load on) the core -- which, in untrained/detrained individuals, might not be strong enough, thus, leading to more potential of injury... Would like to hear your explanation/reasoning, though... P.S.: I have another reason which is minor, but here it is: More people are more familiar with a squat pattern (i.e. quad activation) that a hinge pattern (i.e. glute activation) -- most people find it tougher to 'flex their glutes' as compared to their quads, and so they can't fire the glutes as much as their quads. The squatting motion is, then, more reliable (& safer) than the hinge motion to lift a heavy (asymmetric) load.

Isn't the 45 degree in the corner instruction dependent on using a competition bell? I assume you'd have to finagle it with hard style
@MarkWildman
@MarkWildman 2 жыл бұрын
If it’s a good bell the window size should allow this. You might get a few degrees less on some bells, but it shouldn’t change to a barbell grip

@@MarkWildman Thanks Mark. I do feel like with other non-standardised geometries the main thing is to have the forearm and wrist vertical, and the bell to be resting on a comfortable spot.
