My prof at the University of Victoria wrote the book. I hope he saw some good coin for it. We were excited for him when we heard it was going to be a film 🎥

I remember my high school principal reading it in the early 90s. The novel was amongst the books on his desk the one day, and I asked him what it was about.

@shizuokaBLUES: the name of the Book was called " Shoeless Joe " by Ray Kinsella.Very good film version,eh?😊

@@terrycraig6386 Yes we read the book in our Canadian lit class. And Ray is a name of the character. His full name is W.P. Kinsella.

He was born in Lynwood, CA, not Compton. The story about spending a night in jail while wearing a tuxedo appears fake as well.

He talks about Sean Connery. Part of Sean Connery was his adapting into a series of novels written in UK about a spy James Bond aka 007 , He became that character and I don't know any other in the 60s you see him in real life you see not Sean Connery Darby O'Gill you see James Bond in the flesh. Men want to be him women want him a win win ever was
