The way Kevin speaks and portrays himself is extremely articulated and assertive. He is without doubt one of the best midfielders in the world right now, and the chemistry he has with Haaland is just pure magic. I really hope Kevin becomes a manager one day, he mirrors the ways and methods of Zidane.

Any interview I see with De Bruyne is always an immediate watch. Love watching him play, love to hear him speak about the game and the teams he plays for. It's a shame he's now unlikely to ever win anything with Belgium, but he's undoubtedly one of the best midfielders of all time, and certainly one of my favourite players of all time.

It’s terrifying how calm and unfazed they are. Fearless team. As much as I don’t enjoy them dominating the league, I like their players and their approach to games. People have accents mate, it’s not that hard to understand.

Because they learn standard English, whereas English people grow up speaking dialects that have literally existed for hundreds of years and are very regionally specific, their accents and dialects are authentic and important. It’s the same in most countries where languages originate. Italians don’t all speak the same Italian, German dialects vary massively, Spanish is more unified in Latin America than in Spain itself. Only French has less variation than you’d expect, but that’s largely due to massive suppression of regional dialects and language.

The other thing is that it’s basically always much harder to understand native speakers of languages, if you aren’t native yourself - they speak faster, they use more slang, they use more inventive constructions, they use more humour and idioms, and so on. French spoken as a second language by a non-native is far easier to follow than fast-paced native French if you yourself aren’t native.

It helps when you've got a mega-money team that can execute the plan. If KDB weren't the powerhouse player he is it all be for naught. The guy was able to run at full stride through the middle of the pitch against players who aren't slouches themselves.

KdB , the guy with the key assist against Aston Villa for the league title in 2022 and now 1 year later he is the guy who stands up against Arsenal , after a goal and assist in Arsenal now again 2 goals and an assist , this guy is always the best player on the pitch in big games.
