Didn't mention "total points" for obvious reasons (not part of my point) - LeBron has more points than Jordan... but that wasn't "my point". My point was "Name a player with that meets the difference on accolades between MJ and LeBron" KD never won DPOY, so isn't a perfect fit... but yes, we're looking for "2 rings, 1 MVP" - and THAT guy is KD. And I found THAT interesting... especially in "GOAT" convos (KD is quite overrated)

KD can do more on the floor, even averaged 1.5 blocks a game last season. Watching the warriors 2022 chip the defence of wiggins and draymond is what was shutting down opposing teams best players. Defence is why curry missed a fmvp and his poor defence caused his 3-1 choke cuz he couldn’t stop kyrie (kyrie averaged the most points of any lebron teammate in the finals)

Booker obviously benefited from KD getting the #1 defenders. They were on the same team, not competing against each other to see who put up better numbers. KD does need to win another chip though. My prediction is he'll never crack the top ten all-time.

It all started after him every star player just began going to a team with other star players. Loyalty for a team went out the window after lebron did what he did.

He has lost his explosiveness since KD ruptured his right Achilles tendon. With his length and stroke with that acceleration and vert he dominated. His 1st step acceleration & vertical have been cut in half. After that injury no1 could be what they were, especially at that age. KD is a legit first ballot HOFer but he not in my top 10.

That's the problem with winning with a superteam while you are in a team prior that considers you their franchise player. No penalty for him tho while that other guy has had nothing but stacked teams with the help of the media and he's considered the goat. No penalty for that guy either. I don't know if KD is still top 5 but I do know that the criticism he gets is unfair. Why is he the only one who gets penalized for playing on a stacked team? That's not right. It’s about the journey? Steph grew up rich as the son of an nba player. Has had the best management in the nba who surrounds him with defense shooting and high iq talent. Went on to win his first ring with his team against all injured teams. Gets outplayed badly by kyrie and stinks it up all series especially in game 7. Hops on a plane to recruit kd. Than gs wins vs an injured nuggets team and the mavs who don’t even make the playoffs the next year and an injured Memphis team and than in the finals faces drop coverage and it’s gs defense which is the main difference in that series along with experience. What an amazing journey. Fans like spoon fed media narratives rather than actually appreciating basketball.

I've never seen a 5v1 match before and I'm wondering if someone has. KD just needs to tune everyone and thing out. You're an all time great, one of the best of your generation and a champion. He's a baller through and through. He strikes me as someone who likes one part of fame, but not the other. It's not an on or off switch. Once you're out there there's good and bad no matter what. Kd doesn't realize that fans respect the journey to the top of the league. Kd got airlifted in after the dubs went through the valley, climbed the mountain & planted their flag as champions! His journey has been playing musical chairs w/different NBA teams..... just saying!!

KD is not top 20 for me. My top 20 are players that I would feel comfortable drafting at age 20 expecting multiple championships and runs with them as the alpha dog. KD is not that. He should have stayed in OKC and built a team around himself like Jokic and all the greats. He might have established a legacy, but now we'll never know. Too late for buyer's remorse now.

The warriors are such a good team. None of them would be as successful on their own. KD is very good. He has had the stats for a while. Winning rings as a solo player is impossible. Kobe was the last to do it. Now you have to have at least 2-3 stars to win a ring.

It this era of inflated stats...winning is pretty much the only way to separate the top tier. Damn near anyone can average 25+ppg today and still be on a sub .500 team. So do your stats translate to winning is a huge factor.

Ok y’all underrate KD I’m ngl. Yes curry is better and he’s no longer in his prime, but KD is still rlly good, and one person can’t do the entire work. Every super team has a few good players not one person just carrying, that’s why the cavaliers are always short in the finals against the warriors. But Kevin Durant is not “trash” he’s still a top 10 imo and he can improve, win another championship, achieve greatness

KD is bitter because the media crucified him for joining GSW, while they give lebron a pass for miami, cleveland, lakers etc. he should be bitter because he chose the "dickriding other superstars for rings" path (like lebron) and not forging his own path and legacy. its a shame too, because I believe he had what it takes to be greater than lebron.

2017 & 18, KD WAS the best player in the world. He played the best ball on the best team, won 2 rings, and 2 fmvp's. Before and since then is debatable. All things considered, I know I'm not taking 4 players ahead of KD though.

He would’ve been standing on his decision as a man despite what people thought plus him and Curry both would have more rings (winning/success shuts every hater up).
