I went to Upper Darby High School which is right up the street from Lower Merion. I graduated from H.S. the same year as Kobe. We played Kobe several times. I remember him tearing up the floor for 46 points in one game. He made it look easy. Dude was kissing the rim as a freshman. SMH looking back and understanding what I saw in those days was comparable to watching Jordan in college. Kobe was so far ahead of any athletes I saw. It was a blessing to experience that. Rest Easy Kobe.

@@JohnnyDanger0us I was thinking the same after writing that comment. It doesn't matter what other people think. I know it was the truth and it was an awesome experience. I remember hearing about this kid from Lower Merion that can ball like crazy my freshman year. Then the hype train followed. Kobe taking Brandi to the Prom and my Dad telling me about Kobe's pops. How he played for the Sixers. Kobe getting drafted from High School which is an amazing accomplishment by itself.

Well there's a lot of reasons as to why this happened. Players today are not as driven and hungry as they were back in the day. So even when lbj and brady were past their primes they were still beating on these social media addicted generation that probably has lower testosterone and competitiveness. The other factor is the way the rules changed in football where you couldn't hit the QB, no major injuries. LeBron the game cjanged where defense isn't even played anymore and 3 pt shooting has helped make the game less taxing compared to the grind it used to be of having to attack and explode every play.
