Kevin Garnett's beef with the "snake-like" Wolves owner got even worse without Flip Saunders around

Kevin Garnett loves Minnesota. That's where he spent most of his legendary playing career, and he still loves the city, the fans, and many of his former teammates. But from the time Garnett became a Timberwolf until well after he retired, one man owned the franchise, and Kevin Garnett does not like that man. At all.
Glen Taylor is a billionaire, one of Minnesota's richest people. He bought the Wolves in the early '90s, and brought in the regime that made the Wolves relevant, including Garnett and his first, beloved head coach, Flip Saunders.
But making the Wolves "relevant" wasn't really enough with a generational talent like Garnett on board. This episode of Beef History explains how Taylor failed his superstar employee, disparaged him after he departed, and ended up alienating one of the greatest pro athletes in Minnesota history. And just when a reunion and happy ending seemed possible, Garnett and Taylor lost a crucial moderating presence with the tragic death of Flip Saunders.

KAT is a big part of the problem tbh. Why is it that when Lavine, Butler and Wiggins have left playing for that organization, they’ve become much better players? Why is it that Thibs’ teams in Chicago and New York have been at the top of the league defensively but Minnesota was always near the bottom under him? You can’t just blame the organization without bringing fault to a guy whose feelings have been placated by the organization for the last several seasons - that Russell trade might go down as one of the worst in recent history yet the deal was made because Towns didn’t like Wiggins and Russell is his best friend

That wasn't wrong...They were both awesome in their prime. Hill's downfall was bad luck and bad decisions with injuries. He came in 3rd for MVP one year(behind MJ and Malone).KG pretty much fulfilled his potential . He just kept running into this killer name Tim Duncan. He actually should of never re-signed with the Wolves...At least he finally came to his senses and got the chip in the back end of his career.

What I always remember no mater -how obnoxious the players can sometimes be in this social media age- is that the owners are almost always a whole new level of scum. Kevine Garnett was manna from heaven for a franchise like the 'wolves and they never missed a chance to botch their relationship with him. Unbelievable.

I find it so funny that KG associates himself so much with Celtics and the city of Boston and barely even acknowledges Minnesota these days. Yeah he won his ring in Boston didn't even spend half as much time there as he did in Minnesota. You'd think he'd have a duel loyalty thing going like Payton Manning has with Denver and Indy. But the Wolves burnt the bridge so hard while the Celtics embraced KG post retirement.
