Sid is the only wrestler I ever met face to face. First of all,,, he is a monster, but that monster was one of the most gracious, soft spoken, funniest people I have ever met. That night he was to wrestle Vader. Someone asked how much Vader weighed?,, and Sid replied 460 pounds. The same person asked Sid what was the most he ever lifted? Sid replied,,,, 460 Pounds! Classic!

I got to say hi to Sid mid workout at Patera's Fitness Emporium, I have met a fair amount of wrestlers and had great seats to be near them, I use to hang out at the same bars as the Kansas City Chiefs. @Stingray 1975 That reminds me of the line in Rocky III when Rocky asks Mickey how much he thought Thunderlips(Hogan) ate. Mickey says "About 202 pounds". Then the ring announcer(LeRoy Niemann) announces Rocky's weight as 202 pounds. Rocky stares at Mickey who has this devilish grin. So funny!!

From the time I seen Sid in the early 90s WWF, I always felt a sense of intimidation. Huge, tall loud guy with a blonde almost mullet. Strong, he could move well for a big guy. He just had a sense of danger to him. 2nd run, returning in 1996, I knew Shawn was going to lose the title to him. From many standpoints, he was a great choice to dethrone Shawn. Yeah, I also knew Shawn would regain. I was disheartened that Shawn vacated, happy that Bret won it, conflicted that Sid won it from Bret as I'm a fan of both. Every time I seen Sid on TV I knew we'd be in for some craziness. I felt his feud with Goldberg was too short and hated that Sid kept jobbing to him. Another case where Sid, from many standpoints, should've been a great threat to Goldberg. If he were shown to be the threat that he could be and capable of beating Goldberg, the rest of the wcw roster were in for some shit at point. What should have been.

Sid and Randy Savage were two of the wrestlers I respected the most. Sid was a smart businessman, if I was booking and he said he wanted to take the summer off to play softball? Fine, let’s do an injury angle and give you some time off TV. Randy Savage was another smart businessman who always took care of his family, and I admire the fuck out of that so much. I gained so much respect for Randy when Vince called him and he asked Jerry Jarrett how many weeks he needed him before he left. I would give some credit to Bill Dundee for being a semi smart businessman…kind of, he tried to do the Letterman thing with his son on Jerry Springer

I think Nash simply meant Sid's haeart wasn't in the business, not that he didn't give his all in the ring or love performing. He just was never interested enough in the industry to care if he became the next Hogan or not, which is fair enough imo! I don't think Nash's intention in this interview is to known Sid in any way, just to point out that Sid simply didn't want to be the main man in the industry, and that's why he never became the man.

Agreed. Sid was getting heavily cheered over Hogan because audiences were getting tired of the Hulkamania shtick. Sid was a fresh face who also happened to be a giant man who could work fairly decently. WWF did a great job of presenting his psycho character and he stood out in a sea of stereotypes and cartoon characters. It's a damn shame he didn't end his career in the WWF and instead broke his leg in WCW and had his career taken from him.

People always say Sid or Nash weren't great wrestlers but I enjoyed their characters and their wrestling style worked well for them. I felt like saying Sid wasn't a good wrestler would be like saying Bret Hart wasn't a good attraction. Because of his look and size he wasn't meant to be presented in that manner. Sid rehabbed his leg for 3 years after he broke it and made a return to the ring so the man has plenty of heart I reckon!!!!

I knew a guy as a freshman in high school who was the most phenomenal running backs I had ever seen. He would have set state records and at least gone to a Division 1 school on a scholarship. But when he found out he was required to attend summer football camps in order to be on varsity, he quit the team. He kept playing tackle and touch football with his friends in the summer, but never went back to playing for the team. He said he didn't care about being a football star enough to give up three weeks of his summers as a teenager to go to football camp. That's what I thought of when Nash said Sid didn't have the heart or didn't care about being a big star and wanted to spend his summers playing softball.

Everytime Kevin tries to put someone over, there is Sean with a snide little personal jab at the person. I'm noticing it more and more.
