I think that they should have gone with Lori's deal, but they decided to think too hard about it and I feel lost out on the better deal.

I haven't seen the whole episode, but it could be possible that they didn't wanna give a third of their business, specially because they are already three people with equal rights in the business. Kevin coming in at 25 points means that he's not gonna have the final word over the decisions made. I could be wrong tho.
