@KevinKenson Nintendo wanted to capitalize on the popularity with the branding with their hugely successful Wii. So they had a cheeky U added to the end. But after that flopped they wanted to distance themselves and start fresh with the switch. Now I believe Nintendo is in a position where they need to capitalize on the success and be straight forward in how it's improved, and nothing says that like an integer upgrade.

For the next console I’d like for them to redo for what they did with the Wii U and have a GamePad BUT it be like it’s own console (meaning you can take it anywhere you want) AND have the dock for the console to sit on ALSO be a console. We could give the GamePad a pen and have it DS/3DS compatible and have it multi-screened like top DS screen on TV and bottom DS screen on handheld, or both on handheld if playing in handheld mode. I’m okay with the GamePad running 30 FPS but the console for TV should run either 60-120 FPS with high quality. I’d like it to also be backwards compatible with my Switch games because I’d be highly upset to not play any of my games in amazing quality

I think they will be done with handheld consoles because the steam deck and the razer handheld and the other big consoles are very bulky and the switch is supposed to be portable they will either make a smaller switch with disconnecting joy cons to make it more portable like a switch lite with joy cons basicly. but thicker so it has a bigger battery but in all I think they will make an at home game console.

I think that it won't even have "Switch" in the name. If there's anything that they have learned from past mistakes, it's that releasing new consoles with names that are too similar to the previous console often ends up in disaster for them (eg. Wii-U) I think it'll probably be very similar to the switch in that it'll continue being a portable/home console hybrid, but it'll have a new name.

Pikmin 4 comes out in a couple days, and mario will come out later this year, and currently still playing Zelda totk. I couldn’t care less for a new switch. Especially with absolute gems coming out every few months. Better games over fancy hardware specs any day!

People have been making these terrible concepts since before the first iPhone. Every year random concept art that everyone believes is real floods the internet. All created around collective ideas for upcoming technology, things like transparent holographic iPhones, a PSP 2 or a PS Vita 2. Most of these concepts are created by 3D visual artists who usually state somewhere they they are concepts in fine print and yet alot of people still tend to believe they are legitimate.
