Sometimes I think I've watched all of Matthew's interviews, but this is definitely my favorite! He's so relaxed, confident here, and as usual incredibly sincere and witty. Probably the best word to describe him is charming. An amazing person who is able to convey warmth and positive energy through the screen. I can't believe he's not with us anymore.

I met this dude a bunch of times in the early 90's before Friends. My friend worked at a sports bar called Double Play on La Cienega Blvd. He's already been on shows, but nobody knew who he was... he just looked familiar and you didn't know why. So he would come in there to play Foosball and I played with him once or twice. Super nice guy and great at Foosball. So, a couple years later, Joey and Chandler get a Foosball table and it all starts clicking in my head... "Holy Shit! I played Foosball with Chandler Bing!"

Just stumbled on this after Matthew's passing. God, Matthew was so personable, funny, witty and smart. Just gorgeous inside and out. A gem of a talent gone way way too soon. Millions across the globe miss you, Matthew! I taught ESL in China and even had a student who learned English from watching Friends and his favourite character was Chandler. I adored Chandler because he had some of my traits and he was lovable.

This interview proves what I've always thought; Matthew is very funny and witty and since "Friends" he has not had the support of good writers! He should write or co-write a screenplay. I would love to work with him sometime, I used to get kicked out of class for getting laughs; I would play his father! Let's do lunch!
@dvchel4 жыл бұрын
@Jack Martin Even in Friends there were numerous times that Matthew Perry had to help out to fix a joke. _"Two Bottles of Vodka walking around in human form"_ is a famous joke he came up with and can be seen in a Friends documentary going behind-the-scenes. Also, Matthew was the only one on the show to write jokes for his own character. Great guy and great actor.

For someone who considered rapping the hardest thing he ever had to do, Matthew, I would say, nailed that scene the way it was supposed to be nailed. Fun, with the right energy, and yes, even educational. Haha! And also, for someone who says he finds it difficult to cry on cue, his breakdown in his episode of BH90210 was heartbreaking to me. I mean, I'm not sure if he had been building that up as the scene progresses, as he said he sometimes did, but whether that's the case or not, the sobs and the hurt felt so real when I watched it. I'm surprised they didn't discuss that episode here, but no matter. Fun interview, and awesome, funny, and lovely Matthew Perry, as always! As expected, I so loved his stories and way of brilliantly telling them. An hour well spent, indeed!

Now there is a whole book that he published ( including many of these stories) but in a real Matthew Perry fashion, he is trying to help other people, so its published here on Y.T. It's a nice 9 hours narration of his book, narrated by him. Perfect for doing something around a house, or just resting and listening to his life story. And he does seem wiser at least in a sense that now he is more open, because he connects the dots of what led him to his addiction issues. He also tells a lot of stories I never heard in any interview. I still have 2 or more hours to finish the whole book. Just a note, in case you missed this and you already want to listen to him longer. :) Happy holidays :)
