Theyve come a long way from the old RC10 days, but it looks like their quality is still top-notch. I just got done repairing a Revo, Rustler, Amp MT, TC6.1 and now have to repair a few Armas (and the Revo, again)...I REALLY need to get a good set of hand tools, regular L-type allen wrenches are brutal on the fingers after a few hours.

Biggest thing i notice at your RC club is they seem very relaxed and welcoming. I raced 1:10 TC back in the 2000s and found the worst part of racing was the people. Loved the sport but too many take it way too seriously and it takes the shine off it.

I've been to a couple of race meetings at Wilfred Taylor Reserve, just as a spectator, and it's hard to keep an eye on the cars at ground level.

Oh yah, gotta love it. I drive a b74d, and naturally I love mine. Associated is unbelievable at design, their cars and trucks outperform LITERALLY EVERY other company's designs... which makes sense since they win just about every race everywhere. A joy to build too... and so tunable with the little block kit they use to adjust the shock and wheel angle. Dont mind me, im just too much a fanboy of them. If you prefer 4wd grab the b74c or d (depending on if you want to race carpet or dirt). Shes worth every dollar.

Oh my goodness is it just me, or did anyone else experience a really satisfying feeling from the sounds of those plastic suspension rod/arm ball joints "clunking" into place/onto steel ball joints!? LOL. Really satisfying sounds!! LOL. Thanks for ace vid Kev! Wes, Liverpool UK.

A few years back, when I worked in a hobby shop, my experience was to have a set of wrenches for 1/10th or similar scale, then another for larger scale. We worked on HPI Bajas a lot. Where tools failed or lost their purchase/bite, was when they did double duty. Torquing up screws and bolts, on 1/5th scale models was different to smaller scale RCs. Especially when thread locking compound is added into the mix.

Team Associated is a good brand kev, that’s what I race off road. Suggestion for more steering you might want to change your toe, or give it more toe out in your case. Great racing though!

One of the best build video so far without me getting bored or sleepy.Hey Kev, any plan on building 1/10 on road pro kit like Xray X4? or Tamiya TA08 pro? or Infinity IF14-2? You're not an idiot Kev, you're a master RC mechanic honestly. I have seen you do the most creative things when it comes to working on them or solving a problem. I am an early sub to you and I have learned pretty much everything from your videos, so much so that my friend has me do any work or fixes that he needs on his rigs.

I'd love to try it but, my eyesight is trash. Sad because my hand/eye is excellent. I play high level FPS on console and pc yet I don't think I'd be able to see the little bugger as well as I'd need to.

Kevin with as many cars as you build you need to invest in a Hudy vacuum chamber. Pulls all the air out of your oils. Examples are your shocks, diffs etc. In my opinion it saves time and is WAY more effective then the finger tap and set aside. Just my two cents worth.

This is the way EVERY hobby grade rc car and truck came new. I honestly miss and PREFER the "old days" of having to build it yourself. For one, you know who put it together (yourself), so you learn from it and know exactly what's going on inside. Also, I've had so many modern RTRs that are just so "sloppily" thrown together, it drives me nuts! ..go to replace something or do maintenance on it, just to find out the minumum-wage worker who couldn't care less about the thing at the factory stripped out half the screws/put something together wrong or half-assed, and it just ends up a headache, more often than not... I wish most manufacturers would give the choice if you want to build the thing yourself, not only because of what I've already mentioned, but to me, it's a lot of fun building in the first place (and painting/applying decals, so they look better than if a 5 year old put them on...)!

I've never raced either. When I saw in the other video they where are using some kind of RFID chip to time like when I used to run long distance races I was super interested. The idea of an R/C time trial had never occurred to me. Now we need to make some time attacks and hill climbs. Never mind, I'd be broke.

It would be awesome if most other cars had the option to build yourself. Like the Monster trucks, and Truggys. It sure would be beneficial for people to build the car, and know how everything works. I would love it!
