Kevin, I just love what the RC guys have done with this little cat since this video, awesome, awesome speed records, it is unbelievable how fast these can go with just a few simple modifications. I am definitely getting myself one and putting up my PB videos after I have modded it for high speed runs!

I purchased one of these years ago after coming across this video. They are inexpensive they are fast and they are tons of fun. They are great cheap fun they come in different body styles and colors so you get one for the whole family. Definitely a thumbs up for this little car. 👍

Gold shocks, chassis, a arms, etc. I love it, I took the buggy body off and run a Chevy truck body on it. Running on 3s lipo with upgraded gearing.I wish I could attach a pic to this

Great comparison in RC's on a budget, if they make you smile and your having fun why not. I own a VRX Dart MT Brushless its loads of fun for its size.

A bought a WLToys 12423 1/12 scale SC Truck. Love it! Didn't want to fork over a ton of cash to get back into R/C. I used to race on road cars, waaay back in the day with Nitro TC3's. I didn't want to do onroad again, and figured I'd try the offroad stuff...needless to say, I want upgrade to a Traxxas slash now. I got bitten by the RC bug again.

you could get a full on brushless system in there. hobbywing 60a esc, 5.5t motor 5000kv and a 2000mAh 3 cell. ballistic missile engaged. might have to fit a heli gyro on the steering servo to keep it steady at high speed.

I ordered the 959 B (at least that's what the specs said) but it was an A. I mentioned that and money was refunded... but they let me keep the car. I used that refund to order the 959 B from the same e Bay store. It's been raining here but I got to take it out for one run. It's Insanely fast. The 959 A is super fun and quick, you can control it under full throttle. I have crashed it lots, the only repairs have been one shock that I could have fixed but the rubber seal blew out and I couldn't find it. It's made some bad noises that I fixed with some adjustments to the gear mesh, or just a bend and a twist. The 959 B is fully insane.. it truly is. These cars are more suited to dry, clean roads. I bought both with the drive more combo which comes with 3 batteries. They get hot quickly , they don't like off road (not sealed very well) and yes, shock oil is a must. These cars need some easy to do tweaking but are really fun and budget friendly. I have a set of Drift tires coming for the A and sticky road tires for the B. They need adapters as they are 1/10 scale but overall diameter is close enough to work. It's a fun learning experience. And parts are cheap.

Get an electric rally monster rc truck. I have the nitro version and it's a blast! I've jumped it a few times. Only had to replace a front dog bone and replace rear diff gears (since it wasn't shimmed right from the factory) but all in all, it's pretty fun!

This one better than same motor truck because that may look good but very hard to handle... this good handle with same power

with adjustable tie rods (car does not like to go straight) and new shocks( they will break) you can have fun with this car for sure.. i dont think it needs a brushless upgrade.. .. 36mph is what i got.. im trying to make a video on it but i dont have time..

With better tires and a bigger battery (how big will fit? Would a more tame brushless system pump up the non-b version to have more useable power, running cooler with more runtime? In other words, what is the sweet spot?

You should try the L202 pro its goes like a bat out of hell its comes from wltoys wave runner 1/12 scale 2wd its bushless. If you can get one they are real worth it.. i liked to see kevin try this one out...

First hobby RC I ever bought was a wltoys. Electronics are not waterproof though, you can make them though by coating them in plasti dip. Fyi 😉

What do you think of the new Arrma Granite 4x4 brushless coming out Kev gonna give it a try? I know you don’t run Arrma but this little truck looks sweet. I want a Tekno MT410. I’ve got the proline pro mt with upgrades and it’s pretty good now for reliability

These are pretty good for the money, can get them much cheeaper then banggood though, I got mine new on ebay for £30.. Definitely not traxxas or top end quality but good for a bit of cheap fun 👍
