He is so conscious and aware and young in spirit. He is such a gentle spirit and full of love. In a way he reminds me of Santana, eventhough his music much different. They both have an incredible presence. He illuminates our emotions.

I saw him in concert in 1975 when he toured Australia. It is amazing that the rest of the world (South Africa excluded) have missed knowing this man and his music for 40 years. Please enjoy as I have since the early seventies.

listen to this man, he is singing live, has actual talent and vocal range without the help of any of the modern tools used by many of todays artists. fame came late to him, but he's so humble and grateful and has donated all the money he made to his daughters. he's an inspiration to all.

my father grew up on Rodriguez and passed on this special music to his children... in South Africa Rodriguez was the anthem of the revolution Viva!!!

I really feel bad sometimes why i never knew about Sixto over the years, but i finally find a star that shines, and the talent never leaves the body.

I saw his interview on 60 minutes, I can't believe he's 70 already, love love love his music and his voice is still incredible.

Damn! Every time I listen this song, crocodile tears drop from my cheeks... It's so heartfelt and bloody beautiful.

What gift did he leave to the world...! And how did his "managers" and "advisors" treat him for a long time...? It is a consolation that he was finally able to experience the recognition he deserved.

To the people who think that there's no talent like this anymore, you should know that there is, at grassroots level, plenty of amazing new talent, in every city. It's just the record companies don't really exist in the same way so they can't or won't promote them, and as such these amazingly talented young artists don't reach the mainstream like they used to.

Just got into Rodriguez recently. Heard some of his stuff and instantly loved it. I'm very glad I came across this song and video!!. ......Will search for more.!!!

What a thrill to be able to witness his resurgence in the States. I am floored by this man's music, talent, humility and message. I only saw Searching for Sugarman, two weeks ago and have been totally obsessed by his music.

I am with all of you. A friend told me the movie would blow me away and to wait to learn about him. I can't stop thinking about him and now have bought everything I can that he recorded and have been listening to nothing else since.

Can't say enough good things about Rodriguez's writing and vocals... Possibly the best songwriter I have ever heard...Of course I understand that's just a personal opinion and there are many other greats I also enjoy listening too...But this guy connects with so many...absolutely awesome!

His voice hasn't changed at all! How incredable! Cold Fact is one of my favorite albums of all time! Along with Brothers by The Black Keys on number 1 and The Heart Of Saturday Night by Tom Waits on number 2 or 3 haven't decided yet, that or Cold Fact 😅

Its a Yamaha aex500N2 ....... His is what's called a "blonde" one ... I had 2 until recently when I sold them (one black one blonde) . They are no longer in production... Nylon string hollow body guitar with an electric guitar style neck .... He seems to have purposefully obscured the brand name "Yamaha" at the top of the guitar ... What a great guy ... I'm from South Africa and have loved his music forever ....

Saw him live in SF right when he blew up after the movie. Will never forget

Just watched the last seven minutes of the "Jeff Probst Show" and there he was interviewing Mr. Rodriquez and I was intrigued. I just watched the video and I love his sound. I have to say I did not think his voice to sound like it does. I will be looking for his music at the store soon.
