Join us as we take a full day of walking around the beautiful Key West Florida and exploring gorgeous sites, history beautiful beaches and more! We take you on a walking tour of Key West including some of the most popular tourist spots including Fort Zachary Taylor State Park, the Southernmost Point, Mallory Square and more - historic points of interest, scenic waterfront views, food and drink and more! I tried searching for free walking tours of Key West points of interest and couldn't find any that were in exact order that made sense and totally walkable so I made my own that you can follow and also modify to your heart's content! Hope you enjoy a really fun, sunny, blue, perfect day in Key West soaking in history and sites, food and drink, and of course the sunset at Mallory Square!
Just some of the points of interest we visit on this self-made walking tour: Emma Carrero Cates Pier at South Beach, Southernmost Point of Continental US 90 miles to Cuba buoy, Native Wildflower Garden butterfly garden UF extension, Basilica of St. Mary Star of the Sea, Ram's Head Southernmost restaurant & bar, Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park, Truman Little White House, Sloppy Joe's, Mallory Square, Sunset Pier, Half Shell Raw Bar, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Key West, AND MORE!

Fun fact: Despite how popular of photo spot it is, that buoy does NOT mark the spot of the southernmost point in the continental US. Fort Zachary Taylor and Whitehead Spit in the nearby naval air station are actually more southern than there. But not even Whitehead Spit is the southernmost point! The actual southernmost point in the continental US is Ballast Key, located ten miles away from Key West. I love Key West and the fact that Cubans pretty much built the city. The Cuban history in the city is quite rich and it left an impact. I too have family still in Cuba (in Camaguey) but I've never met them and know very little about them so I hope to make a visit eventually. As well as to see the apartment where my abuela lived in Havana before she left because of Batista (my maternal grandpa also left because of Batista; both were leftists who knew they'd be targeted because of their opposition to Batista's control of the military regime)

Thanks, Jackie! Key West was one of the last places I traveled to with my mom before she passed away. Brought back many great memories. Road trips are so fun! Glad you got out of Orlando for a bit!

Awesome video! Always wanted to go to the keys but terrified of bridges. Was quite impressed the the Spanish pronunciation. Didn’t realize you have Cuban heritage. That’s so cool but 🙏🏻sad that you can’t see family.

I was recently in rehab when a priest (a REAL priest) showed up - he talked and prayed and offered communion and I explained I was a lapsed catholic and probably not worthy - he told me Jesus would come see me I said okay you're the priest and he took care of me - nice man

Many years ago I visited Key West on my first cruise. I was cruising solo and wanted to see a beach. I hiked the whole way to Ft. Zachary Taylor Beach! Beautiful! A terrific memory! Thanks so much for this lovely trip around the island!!!

Hey Jackie 🙋🏻‍♀️ Thank You so much for this. Been wanting to go to Key West for years but wasn’t sure where and how to start. NY transplant for 25 years now. Im one that doesn’t like the real touristy crowded spots if it’s not a theme park lol. I love how you and Nate (Paging Mr Morrow) are detailed with your videos. It definitely helps when planning lil trips. Did our first monorail crawl bc of your guys last year with friends and we had such a blast! Found you both beginning of 2020. Your video brought back lots of my memories of Key West. I went there as a kid and I remember that there was a great arcade on Duval Street. I also remember parachutes on the ceiling of Sloppy Joe’s instead of flags. (But I am remembering the Key West of like 35 years ago!)

This is awesome Jackie and Sam! We love Key West mostly for how unique the lifestyle is, of course the Night Life and without a doubt because we were married on Smather's Beach! Thank you for taking us along on your journey to Key West. Also, we always stay at that Fairfield Inn and Suites on North Roosevelt and we walk to Duval! 2 miles! You guys should walk it too! Love you channel! Sam is Awesome! Remember....Stay Enthused! 💖

“ Key West airport is really small “ I learned that when we flew down from Orlando into Key West 😶 the plane was tiny and I was terrified the whole way lol. We drove from Key West to Marathon where we stayed , it was amazing and being from the UK like nowhere else I have ever been ❤️

Jackie a travel tip: make reservations for lunch at latitudes. You will take a free boat ride over to Sunset Key. It's the best!!

That "epcot looking thing" is part of the naval base 😊 You should try the trolley if you have time, you learn a lot about the history of key west, it's pretty cool.

@@SuperEnthused Yay!! Oh, yes, we LOVE Galveston. Hubby and I are both history buffs. It's just under a 3 hr drive from where we live in Bastrop, TX so we come here often. The Strand, in the historic district, reminds us a bit of The Keys with the open front shops, bars, restaurants, etc. The Seawall is historic, built after the Great Hurricane. The historic Pleasure Pier on Seawall is a fun stop. Oh, dear. Apologies for going on so about Galveston. I just felt like y'all might enjoy it here. We look forward to your future travels as well as Orlando, Florida adventures!

Absolutely brilliant, we totally missed the fort and Mallory Square looked a lot busier than it was when we went in 1997 but the town itself still has all the charm it had when I was there. Here's a road trip we did a few years later that you might want to consider doing Jackie. Start at Seattle, down the coast road through the great redwood forests of Oregon to San Francisco then Santa Barbara, Los Angeles (you can visit Disneyland while you are there) then across to Palm Springs, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Death Valley, Yosemite national park, Reno and all the way back up to Seattle again -so much to see and if you do it make sure to call in at "Trees of mystery" just south of the Oregon border.

Always love the drive to the Keys, such a peaceful road trip. It’s like your traveling to another world. Loved your video, had no idea about some of the points of interest. I will do more walking next time I go there.

Hi great video :-) you need to take Sam sunglass shopping lol. A few notes. The Epcot looking thing is called a Radome ( pronounced ray-dome ) it is a cover for a radar system. Rt 1 goes from Key West to Maine :-) now that would be a great road trip for you and Sam. I actually drove Rt 1 and old Rt 301 from Ma to Big deer key way back in the day
