Their stage presence is incredible, like holy shit, THE best live show I have ever seen, just insane chills when they came on and you could feel the energy and tension in the crowed. It was in a small music hall in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and the upper seating just immediately emptied filling the smallish pit in front of the stage, and everyone in the place just collectively lost their minds for the next half hour or however long their set was. And that was the closing set of the night, after Machine Head and Trivium had played. Love this album and this band, 2004-2008 was high school for me and I spent probably 80% of that time blasting Lamb of God!!

The Last Baron! Love that cool riff with the harmonics. Also would be cool to see Aqua Dementia for the cool intro and HUGE sounding chords. Capillarian Crest because well to me it's just a masterclass in writing yourself out of potential corners musically. That song is all over the place and I love it! Awesome song. Pick any off Crack the Skye. Same for the last song on any record. They always deliver on that last track imo. Then there's North Side Star...musically it's like this deserty, earthy, western style then suddenly it sounds like Mastodon and the Mars Volta had a baby. Which I'm a huge Volta fan too. Please check out Sylosis, a thrash/death metal band from Reading, England and a long-time favorite of mine. They do excellent work, and in particular are notable for the incredible riff writing of Josh Middleton, who does the vocals and co-lead guitar, as well as the fact that, until their latest album, all their songs used guitars tuned to E Standard, which is highly unusual in modern metal. I struggle to recommend just a single song from them, so instead, I'll give you a song from each album and you can pick the one you think is the most interesting :) Album - Song - Year - Notes - Link Cycle of Suffering - I Sever - 2020 - Only song I've listed tuned to D Standard instead of E, includes my favorite vocal performance in this list - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/msB0l5B-3Nvak4E.html Dormant Heart - Servitude - 2015 - Manages to get some interesting perception of speed despite its tempo - the fastest-feeling part of the song has the slowest tempo and vice versa - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b8WCh5N4md27e5s.html Monolith - A Dying Vine - 2012 - Probably the song I've listened to the most times on this list, main riff is blazing fast and the vocals that accompany it are very quick as well, which is all the more impressive when considering that they're done by the same person at the same time. Changes significantly over its duration, particularly in emotion. - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/arufn5Cnv7SlpGg.html Edge of the Earth - Procession - 2011 - Strongest "groove" out of this list, and has my favorite intro and main riff in the list as well - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f-Bmq8-jsbHIZIE.html Conclusion of an Age - Last Remaining Light - 2008 - From before Josh took over the vocal role; in my opinion the old vocalist wasn't as good as him, so I don't listen to this album much, but the solos in this song are amazing and I still find it a joy to listen to. - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nrNxhdRi3pa0po0.html

I have seen these guys live and they were as tight as the albums are and the tone and sounds were better live than on the album you could actually feel it ... These guys are working class Metalheads that are more Garage Band type players that are really Amazing ... They filled the void that Pantera left when they went on Hiatus and Getting the Ozzfest gigs and touring non stop they surrounded themselves with Talented people over time ... What amazed me the most about this band was the drumming and how the riffs lined up and flowed it has a certain groove to it ... if you get a chance you need to Watch the Wall of Death videos as well ... They even have 2 mini documentaries that are very interesting ... really dive into this band they have so much more to check out ... This is something I've forgotten to mention in earlier Comments 🙄... There are roughly 13 Reaction channels in a dozen on KZfaq, and most are pretty similar to others. On *this* channel, I learn not only about musicianship and composing (well, as much as a tone deaf non-creative person can 😅), *but* about _engineering_ and _mixing_ too! It is a revelation to find out what _methods_ have been used in the creation process of some iconic pieces 🎶😀! Thanks, Geebz! Keep up the great work! 👍

What I always appreciated about Lamb of God was they were straight up, in your face Metal but could write catchy hooks and riffs that the mainstream world paid attention. They feel like those groove metal bands like Pantera, Sepultura, and Machine Head with metalcore punch; extremely fun music you just feel the need to move to with that little added aggression of their time when they blew up.

This group means so much to me. The amount of shit that Randy has been through, and the band sticking with him through all of it. The unfortunate departure of Chris from the band :/ I got married in September of '18 and i used "Descending" from this record as the song that my wife and I walked into the reception hall to. Everyone was going crazy :) a very beautfiul memory for me. Thanks for your channel Geebz, soon wonderful stuff, AWWWRIGHT
