I purchased the dampener mod after your first video for my mfg v2s, received them within a week to the US. Glad I have not installed them yet now that I have seen this video and the improved mounting orientation. Can't wait to give them a try.

Nice, I got a pair of v3 pedals about a week ago and didn't order the dampener. Watched some reviews and ordered it along with new pedals for the crosswinds. Cool to see that MFG updated their video to show the over the center mounting as well since that's where most ppl are going to look for instructions when they buy it. I saw with the V3 you could mount the dampener with the pre done holes but I don't want things to be uneven so I'll definitely mount as though you would on the v2, don't mind the extra 5 minutes of work.

Got my V3s in the lighter color for the main assembly and the graphite Bf 109 pedals - I wanted all graphite initially, but those were out of stock while white/graphite was in stock. Looking at other guys' all white/all graphite sets, I think I made the right choice. :) Delivery time to Germany was just 7 days, using the cheapest shipping option. Couldn't be happier with these things, having used both the CH Pro ones and the Saitek Pro Flight ones before (CH are good, Saitek are crap IMO). And I just got the re-stock notification for the dampening kit, so I ordered that one today as well. Not sure if it'll be a vast improvement, but I do hope it'll reduce the occasional "springie-ness" around the center (when pushing the pedals back to dead center) that I kinda feel with the way I've configured the pedals. Light to medium spring tension, #6 cam and spring sitting on the inner notch. What *really* took my enjoyment of these to another level was when I switched to mounted stick and throttle and thus had to increase both the distance between chair and desk and my seat height (so that my mount wouldn't castrate me). That enabled me to rotate the pedals further down (heel closer to the floor) and overall gives me more authority over the pedals and enabled me to increase my spring tension slightly. In any case: These things truly are amazing... I was considering the MFGs, the Virpils and the TM high-end ones, since I absolutely wanted toe-brakes (so, VKB pedals were out). Went with MFG because they're the "cheapest" of the bunch and everyone was praising them. Can't say I've regretted my decision. Highly recommended!

Bummer it's gone out of stock. I think Milan was going to audit his stock of dampers to check my faulty one was a one-off. Maybe he found some more bad ones. The site is showing 17th June for stock, which isn't so bad.

I bought a dampener now but even at the lowest setting it feels fairly hard to move and the pedals won't recenter. Do you know how soft the dampener should feel on the lowest setting?

I can't quantiy this but there is still some drag. It helps to make the spring as tight as you can, otherwise you need to accept a little bit of imprecision in the centre or add a null zone in the setup.

Have you tried the Thrustmaster TPR pedals for a comparison? Would love a comparison. The pendular motion of the TPR seems attractive. Also, have you tried the Cessna pedals for the MFG? I'm about to buy my first pair of pedals, mainly for flying GA Cessna 152 and 172, and Airbus A320 Neo in MSFS2020.

No, I haven't tried the Thrustmasters but I'd be happy to if someone wants to send me a pair :) Likewise the MFG add-ons, although Hrvoje (Replika Gear) promised to send me prototypes of all the alternative footbeds.

On your other video you mentioned there is a bit of play when u first apply the rudders, i have the same problem,very annoying and makes resistance not uniform ,do i have faulty dampers too or its just how it is? (i have it mounted to the center as in this videos) thanks

Hi, all I can say is I don't have this problem with the current setup. If I try to rock the pedals lightly with my hands there is no free play before the damper resists the motion.

Do you feel the damper increased the precision of the pedals? I'm unsure to get the Crosswind or TM TPR.

@@AlmostAviation I mean if the damper helps you making more precise moments with the pedals ? Sometimes from watching videos of people using the Crosswind it looks like that because the feet rest on top of the pedals that it is easy to ‘overshoot’ small changes because you use the whole foot to adjust.

@@nexus888 I suppose this is about which muscle groups you use to move the pedals. The damper is attenuating the gross movements, so in that sense it probably allows finer control with your thigh muscles, which seem to be the ones doing the work.

@@storkman I ended up getting the slaw rudder pedals. Great build quality. I do find the springs are too hard in them. I just got a damper and installed it without the centre spring enabled. I find the damper adds sticktion which makes it hard to make minor adjustments. Feels more like how the cheap TM plastic pedals works so the damper will be removed again.
