Strongly disagree with this. They just arent there yet as artists and creatives. They are not good enough yet. It has nothing to do with luck. I started a project in april that already makes 2 grand a month from streaming alone already. Spent fifty bucks per song for artwork, thats it. It isnt luck, they just arent good enough. You need to understand audiences on a deep level, they never once ever discussed what audience they were going for.

@@Adam-oq2lqfor sure! I mean, you compare this track to even say something old like NF's "Intro". Not even close! And even that old track isn't like "The Search" or just recently "Hope" that topped charts to make him really blow up. Kinda like in the metal music community; you can write the heaviest song, but unless you can make the people feel something that they can't get from somewhere else, it's just a drop in the ocean of content known as the Internet.

What do you view as success is a better question then. Sure, luck is involved, but there are plenty of people who sucked at something and became amazing. People drop out of school and become incredibly wealthy doing their own thing. Or an incredibly poor person becomes an amazing athlete. Big picture is, a lot of mainstream stuff right now is absolute garbage. What KB/KB Collective and friends do, is what they like or love, and keep pursuing it. And wouldn't you know, that authenticity doesn't produce garbage.

I totally agree with the fact that in order to succeed in the music, working hard is a must. But lucky is not just going viral randomly, is also being sorrounded by a lot of things outside the song itself. Where - when you born and raise, the people you are with, etc. Also I think its very importan the " " in prove its not luck, because you are not new at this, you been in music for so long and you know not only how to make music the way you want, but also what it's mor likely to go viral and the friend that helped you.

It’s like having Kobe on your team lol, Kyle Beats has connects to like everything you need to be a successful artist. High quality beats, great marketing, a built up fan base that he created from the ground up over years of hard work, etc. so having all that under your belt itd be pretty easy to break an “anonymous artist” because the person in the background (Kyle Beats) already has prior success in this area. @@RealShaggy Money is partially based on luck but that's besides the point. The point is that even if you have knowledge in the industry, rapping talent, good beats, and a great music video you still might not make it. These guys are literally pros and still failed on a song that is better than 99.9% of the songs upcoming rappers will be releasing and still didn't make it. That shows that even if you do everything right, luck is the final factor you have to have. You just have to have the skill to capitalize on it if it comes your way. Thank you for this man.. I'm finally opening my voice to rapping and its not really your style but this really helped me. Been in the industry for 10 years being a producer on my other channel "Y D". Had a few of my beats blow up and Unaverage Gang used my beat for "Hope For A Lost Cause" then i went ghost. Now im back trying to find my voice instead. But this really inspired me not to give up. Just trying to come out of my shell.

Music isn’t something we do. It’s who we are. It’s a lifestyle. The love for the music and hard work will get you somewhere eventually. Maybe not where you planned, but making money, doing what you love doing, after doing it for free for so many years. Can’t ask for a better outcome

If there’s one thing I’ve learned it’s that the game is super competitive even when all the artists are just thinking about themselves getting big. But if every artist is thinking about getting big and there’s so many artists, that’s what makes it competitive. Who’s got the catchiest hook, who’s got the cleanest mix, who’s got what it takes to make an audience turn into a fan base. It’s a huge mental toll until you find you in music. So just embrace the fact it’s a competition but also know it’s not really about it being a competition. That’s why I said it’s lowkey a comp. Do you, have fun, keep learning, and have fun. The rest will come naturally during your journey.

To get acknowledged by luck and make it big, you need to keep at it for years and not give up. That's how 90% of famous and rich people today have got where they are. If you quit within the first month, year or even 5 years, nothing is gonna happen.

can we acknowledge the fact that these clips still did numbers. Like the one with Kia had 17K likes. What I took most from this is if you are strategic about your brand and the stuff you do are intentional and not winged, you will blow up fast. Maybe not from 1 song but maybe like 20/30songs. stay consistent and the grind will pay off 💯.

Not guna lie the track was hard thou 😂😂, plus the visuals. I was sold, even though I watched it get fabricated infront of my eyes. As a rapper who's put 6 years into this I've experienced how this video ended many times. Am currently making the best music I've ever made and set to release soon. But as a plan not to fall on my face, I've dedicated 2 hours every morning to editing reaction videos (finding cult audience) and mixing down my music. In a bid to really smash it this time. Wish me luck lads. There's 1000 roads the the same destination. Lets see how it goes. 😅

I don't have any idea who's ever said that or how and why I started personally saying it, but if you think about it it applies 100% to our careers- The only key factor in key in our industry has always been time and effort, and it will always be like that.

Lmao.. "it's not about luck".. proceeds to to 100% demonstrate that luck is a major factor. Also it would be ridiculous to take the word of someone who *did* make it to prove that they *didn't* get lucky. All they have to go off of is their own personal experience of having made it.. and those around them who probably fed off each other. This is clearly a biased outlook
