Welcome everyone to my review of the KGM Torres EVX.
Since Sang Yong has rebranded KGM the first model to be released is the new Torres. All new car, all new platform, and available as an electric or full petrol car. Only with the petrol car, do you get the option of all wheel drive.
Available with two trim levels, the K30 and K40. The entry-level trim being already very well kitted out with standard equipment. Moving up to the top of the range to get things such as ventilated seats, larger 20 inch alloy wheels and full leather interior.
Compared to the petrol version, the EVX comes with a much more futuristic styling at the front with dynamic indicators and open and exterior jingle and light show. It definitely adds a theatrical element to the EVX.
Underneath the EVX is a 73.4 kWh battery with a range claimed of 287 miles which it did show me at 100% charge. Power is 204 brake horsepower and 339 Nm of torque.

Thanks a lot for this review. I have an appointment for a test drive here in Switzerland. Here we have three lines. The Titanium line has a glass roof and a heat pump.

I like it a lot, and it's definitely on my list. It offers very decent tech, trim, and space to a good price point and impressive warranty.

Oh that's interesting that in the UK bot the ICE and EVX Torres have the same interior. The ICE Torres in some other European markets has a completely different interior with separate driver and center screens plus a separate one for climate.

They changed the UK spec to the new, upgraded Korean version with the wrap around screens - personally, I think the climate control screen made it look very premium so it’s a shame they dropped that for the new centre console type with the button style transmission. Not sure why they did that since all ICE have same engine/transmission arrangement. So I guess the UK spec also has fly-by-wire gear change rather than the lever type in other markets. Given the low production numbers of KGM I find it baffling they have so many changes/variations like this - seems commercially nonsensical.

Something interesting going on with YT algorithms- I’ve searched Torres content every day and this has not once showed up even though I’m subscribed. Today it randomly shows in my feed!! Weird
