I feel like the Vikings have never been a Super Bowl or bust team for the last decade or so. They were never a real contender, never a team like the Ravens, 49ers, Bills, that all seem so close. I feel like the closest they came to the SB was with Case Keenum during that Minnesota Miracle catch, and even that team was never going to win the SB. I think a difference maker QB may have likely taken them further, but how many "difference" makers are there? Maybe 5 or 6 in the whole league.

Matt Ryan was better then Kirk by a lot. Matt won playoff games and MVP. Julio was hurt a lot also . And Matt was putting up numbers wel before Shanahan was with the Falcons he did numbers with Mike Smith. And Matt also more years then not had top 5 most pressured or sacked qb. Matt deserve a gold jacket Kirk not there .

Kirk can’t have his cake and eat it too. He’s broke the bank in terms of salary for the QB market. He’s coming off a critical injury and hasn’t proved he can carry a team deep in the playoffs. He should be happy he got paid as much as he did. So what the falcons are just thinking about their future. For him it’s play well and don’t get injured.

There is some bs in the air cause kirk was interviewed a few months ago, wanted to retire a viking and as long structure right - " this is a business and once I get desired contract they ( vikings) can draft whomever they want. That's a direct quote . Kirk gets better every year at age 35 .The injury can possibly muddy the water but if he comes back 100% he can absolutely win a super bowl. That's silly talk. The falcons did right by kirk and kirk touring Atlanta saying he's planning on signing extension after 2 more years and the falcons go and take a guy who they watched for 40 minutes??? A guy who has 10.5 inch hands and can throw a ball 2 stadiums but when pressured or some touch is required , he looks like a watered down version of Jameson Winston. You're going to tell me that when latu, turner , verse or the premium dbs taken in 1st round aren't going to make a difference in 1st round of playoffs. Lockeroom going to be divided cause kirk has played for bad football teams in playoffs ( all +7 or higher dogs ) where he's played well and D giving up 30 pts a game. The only game he was favored , he played out his mind ( 88 qbr with jj only 4/47 and giants with 50% def pressure) and his high school defense made Daniel Jones look like a Montana ýoung hybrid. Hope cuz turns the undeserved narrative in year one. ...and it, lol, could happen early November on a different team.

Not only as a Falcons fan, but just a general fan that has common sense. This "report" seems over-exaggerated or just straight up bs. I think some of it was more job security. Just my opinion. Couple more points: 1) Kirk is underrated and overhated. He's statistically one of the top QBs year in and year out. He definitely can get us to the Superbowl. He is better than Baker. Although I think Baker is underrated and overhated as well. 2) Matt Ryan was a better overall QB. The Superbowl was mainly on Shanahan, which also screwed over the defense. He's top 10 statistically in multiple categories. Should be a HOFer eventually. 3) For fun: Ridder wasn't even the main problem last year. It was Smith's play calling and game management. It was abysmal. I'm sick of people ignoring that and just blaming the QBs.

Of course everyone wants to win a SB. But you kinda need to be relevant first, maybe look good in your own division. Houston last year is a major outlier, most teams need to start building a bit after they've been down for a long time.

At least one of you has some respect for Kirk Cousins. His average season score is 524 in the "REAL GOAT" scoring system. Which btw is the most comprehensive analysis of a quarterbacks career ever created. Only 17 quarterbacks since 1947 have scored higher. The reasoning behind the scoring system is measuring how much better the quarterback is than the average quarterback of his era. All the quarterbacks ahead of him,except Ken Anderson, are in the Hall of Fame. He outscores many Hall of Famers. He gets paid because some very smart football people know how good he is. He has been able to accomplish this amazing career without a quality offensive line and for the most part without a defense. Those two are the quarterbacks best friends.

Cousins average playoff game is better than Tom Brady's even though he was sacked 3 times as often for example. Marino's teams never won a championship but Trent Dilfer's did. I could go on and on.

If you take a moment and break it down you come to realize that the quarterback only carries about 6 to 8 percent of the responsibility for winning and losing.

JJ will be the biggest bust in the draft he comes from a run first system witch he is a system quarterback to a team with wide receivers there were games JJ didn't pass the ball in the second half he has no star running back as and his 3rd down conversion rate was number 1 what was the average 3rd down distance 3 yards well Minnesota is screwed
