Welcome to Khiva! The most magical city in Uzbekistan. A must visit. A disney fairytale city that can only resemble the fabled city of Agrabah from Aladdin! And just like Aladdin I weave my way through the streets feeling like a Prince! They do call me Prinzameer after all.
Khiva is one of my favourite places in Uzbekistan and is a MUST VISIT city in Uzbekistan. Although not as accessible from the main path, you can easily fly there from Bukhara and Tashkent to Ugrench (only 45 minutes from Khiva old city).
In this second part of a two part mini-series within a series from Khiva, I will show you guys the vibe and the unmatched atmosphere that Khiva offers.
At the beginning of the video we see a parade going through the old city of Khiva as the day comes to an end and the sun begins to set. You will also see music and other entertainment scattered all over the city. All of this is just for us! For tourists! There is such a massive push and effort that is going in to entertain tourists and make for the best time in Khiva and Uzbekistan.
🛌🛎 Hotel - I stayed at the Muhammed Aminkhan Madrassa 1855, Orient Star Hotel. This place is the famous madrassa you see in the thumnail and is situated next to the big blue minaret, the most famous symbol of Khiva. As well as the location being key, the hotel itself is magical and so beautiful and I can't think of a better place to stay in Khiva. And it only cost me around £45 a night!!

🍜🥩 Food - the food in Uzbekistan as you will see from all my videos, is simply outstanding! However, Khiva is famous for their 'green noodles' dish that was very tasty. When in Khiva you must try it and you must visit the Teressa restaurant for sunset for the most amazing views of the old city of Khiva.
It is worth noting, a lot of people don't stay in Khiva or they come just for a day trip with a tour. I would highly recommend that you come here by yourself and take your time and definitely 100% stay in Khiva!
