Welcome to Brisbane! One of the most livable places in Australia and the host of the Brisbane Olympics 2032, so jump on the Brisbane wagon whilst you can!
Brisbane is a very new and modern city in the centre of Australia and sits as the capital of the tropical state of Queensland. For travellers, I can understand why Brisbane isn't many people's favourite place in Australia and neither mine! However, looking at Brisbane from a potential-living perspective, it is definitely a very interesting and livable city. Maybe even perfect?
Unlike other parts of Australia, and unlike Sydney, Brisbane does not have access to the beach. HOWEVER! Brisbane does host an artificial city beach and is only around 1 hour south of the Sunshine Coast and 1 hour north of the fabled Gold Coast. This ideal position on the map means that Brisbane hosts a modern, clean and professional vibe, whilst having access to more wild places such as the Gold Coast and natural wonders such as the Sunshine Coast, Fraser Island and the endless beaches that come with this.
Moreover, due to its position, the weather in Brisbane is very stable all year round and warm all year round. Not as hot, humid and tropical as Cairns, and not as wet and windy as Sydney in the Winter months.
So, would you move here?
Decide for yourself, give the video a watch and let me know in the comments below if you live, have lived or plan to live in Brisbane - the new Australia!

Thanks for capturing the vibe of Brisbane so well - kudos! A tip for visitors to Brisbane- take a trip on the Rivercats, which are the inexpensive public transport large catamarans which glide up and down the river from University of Queensland in the south, through South Bank and the city, all the way up to Hamilton. There’s even free cross river ferries in the city centre called Kitty Cats. Easy, inexpensive and scenic way to get around.

Brisbane has also rental crises, even worse than Melbourne, the property in the recent time risen to Melbourne level and they say that Brisbane will be more expensive than Melbourne in the near future, Melbourne has more immigrants from 3rd world countries, but Brisbane has strong interstate immigration mostly from Melbourne and Sydney rather than outbound one. I give Brisbane another 10-15 years to became same city like Melbourne today! Melbourne is the most populated city in Australia and is growing, you will find most newcomers in Melbourne from India and Asia, so unbalanced immigration and I allow to say that Melbourne will soon look like those countries.

You may do well visiting some of those 'third world' countries as you call it. Not as primitive as you think. Here's a good lesson for you, if our western countries didn't invade and exploit these countries historically, they wouldn't be moving to the West. My family included.

@@PrinzameerTravels I liked Perth. Brisbanite here. They just had their hottest summer on record though. Over 40c for several consecutive weeks but like Sicily or Spain or Greece it's a dry heat I went in May. Lovely place to visit but I would miss the mountains and rainforest of south east Qld. WHAT TO SEE? Fremantle jail and maritime museum to see the Batavia wreck, Rottnest Island (Pinky Beach is doable before the boat returns to Perth), Margaret River wineries, Pemberton to climb 1/2 way up the Gloucester Tree, (I went in 2010 when the top was still open), Albany, & the Pinnacles at Cervantes. If time, Esperance and Kalbarri. I managed to see Kalbarri but ran out of time for Esperance. It's always the way that you need more time than you actually have. Allow 3 weeks for all of the above. Wave Rock at Hyden if time permits. Kings Park in Perth too.

Great video . Melbourne is highly overrated btw just came back from my yearly visit . I’m a Qlder. Unless you go to Melbourne to see major sports events, Melbourne is very dirty and shabby now with a puddly little creek they call a river .. unless you like graffiti on every post and corner or wall, ( and I’m talking tagging NOT art) you will question who decided it was a most livable city . The only great things about Melbourne are the trams and sport . Melbourne can’t compare to the stunning Sydney and Brisbane and Perth are way more livable and pretty. We have pride in our cities, something Melbourne has lost over the last twenty years.

Really, I think some one is a little prejudice. You mean the arts scene and theatre. Shabby??? Piddly creek Someone is jealous. Brisbane is plastic, lacks public transport, the theatre scene is just bad. Your river is so big is because you have had tons of rain in the last few months. They are even begging people to go up there as tourists. Melbourne has community and people actually are friendly. Brisbane fine to visit but not to live there.

@@PrinzameerTravels There is a lot of petty, parochial rivalry between all Australian capital cities. Especially between Sydney and Melbourne. All of them have good and bad parts to live/visit. Sydney also rubbishes Brisbane. Melbourne disses Adelaide, and Perth disses all of the eastern capital cities. It's unusual for Melbournites to rubbish Brisbane, unless provoked. Personally I prefer Melbourne over Sydney. Generally Sydney is too crowded with gridlock traffic, has unfriendly people (especially at Mascot Airport) and very expensive. Add 25% to Brisbane prices. Melbourne is perhaps the funkiest city in Australia. Best coffee, good public transport, plenty of daytrips within 200km, a thriving arts scene and friendlier people overall than Sydney. Sydney people make a joke that people that move from Sydney and Melbourne to Brisbane improve the iq of all 3 cities!
