Good job brother bravo and Nicely done! I did it a few times the same way as you. You're right that the pot require high heat because normally the pot is covered. We got the exact same pot, I had my brother n law bought it for me when my aunt visited Cambodia about two years ago. Another way to get the heat is to place it in a bigger pot with water and steam the whole thing. (My short cut way because I don't have the other piece to the pot) You could also use regular rice soaked it over night, drained until it a little dry, and then blend it into a powder and mix it with coconut.

I love the desert. I tried making few years back and I gave up after many attempts. I went to Cambodia last year and I couldn’t find in Phnom Penh. Finally I was able to find it in Battambang but I didn’t have the time to learn the process. After watching your video I will try to make it again. Thank you for the video.

Yummy, that is my favorite. Last time I ate was 35 years ago in Khao I Dang camp, when I was a small child. I want to make it, but I don’t have the steam tube like that. Wish they sell on amazon or eBay
