the upside down crucifix is sometimes used in society as a "bad thing" but it actually stands for the way that Peter died because Peter said he wasnt worthy of dying the same way that Christ did so he asked to be crucified upside down instead. The rappers saying how he isnt worthy of Christ which is a good thing.
@jasonhinton668 жыл бұрын
exactly man....i even asked kishon to make sure
@teccmo7 жыл бұрын
also, when you see an upside down crucifix in the hood....it usually means that person it against Christ, not for him. I know from experience.
@jadencudjoe68548 жыл бұрын
not every song needs to be straight, cut & dry edifying the body of Christ. Kishon is telling a story about how he lived in the hood, and how he was surrounded by the whole environment of making money off drugs. But, he still finds a way of income by having a college degree and actually working......ITS A TESTIMONY

The more and more this christian culture likes, approves and defends songs that dont mention Christ. The more christian artist are going to make songs like that. Eventually you will not hear Christ, God or scripture in any christian hip hop songs. Then we WILL be sound just like the world. and if christians dont see a problem with that then........
@LukeoXx7 жыл бұрын
andre smith Here is the beauty of it: if more and more "Christians" go and act like the world then go and let them have their fun. You can't change them. Go and let them turn away from Christianity instead of enabling them to fake it in American Church Jellyfishianity. Then we'll be able to see the lines more clearly of who loves Jesus and who is just fronting it. You act as if God is going to lose some his own or as if those who understand they are blood bought sinners are going to forget their Messiah, that they are going to forget that their debt had been paid in full?
@adept23427 жыл бұрын
Jaden Cudjoe Thank, most Christians are being too critical, these kind of songs are lit, fun, produce their personal stories and is sonething we should learn from.

I used to but I kept listening; especially with Free Barabbas and most definitely with Beemo and I. So yeah. He's a Christian. Just more honest than most at this time. The upside down crucifix was more Peter than Satanic. It's definitely more Marty Marr in nature of raw honesty.

This CHH community (whatever you wanna call it) makes my soul sigh sometimes. This song is simple. It's not satire, they're not making fun of the hood, they're sharing testimony. Ki'shon is sharing how came from a place where drug selling & other activities are the norm which leads into a cycle that never gets you out of the hood. This is a cause to celebrate, guys! LOOK! Here's two brothers right here. One graduated with a degree in English and the other with a degree in Business Management. I think the biggest problem here is an ignorance towards culture. It's kind of a big deal that these guys went to college and graduated. We should be thanking God for these brothers & supporting them as they are reaching out to a culture that most of you who are being judgmental have no access to. I haven't even been to the hood to see the faces of the people who live there and struggle on a daily basis. My mom worked her butt off so that she could move out of L.A and save me a very rough life. She did. I'm a young black man who's grateful for the hardships I didn't have to endure. I look at these two and see the same intelligence and perseverance that my mom had in her when she went to college just like them. I'm going to college very soon and going to get a degree in biology, so these guys are like role models even. I relate to this song, even though I didn't grow up in a similar environment. I relate because I see two brothers who broke the statistical molds and are glorifying God, it motivates me to break statistical molds too. Not every single song is scripture, and so what if non-believers bump it? Jesus attracted non-believers. We need to stop looking at the tiny things. Who cares if Aha's cross is upside down? It's just a piece of jewelry. He could have had sticking out of his ear for all I care. Unless the dude starts summoning Satan in the middle of a dab, you guys are focusing on a pointless detail. If it matters that much just shoot him a message or something. Give a brother some support or something, guys! SHEESH btw Aha! #TeamLongHairDontCare

Yeah dude it's alright. We as Christians tend to be really judgemental at times. I'm guessing you now understand that this song is very satirical. For a hip hop head it's easy for me to see that from the get go, but otherwise I wouldn't knoe

YO! Mr. Kishon if you see this message.. You should have a challenge for fans or something like to share your social media and album on their social media.. And, the winners will get to jam out in your next music video! hahaha. That would be cool. Other than that!. I just want to ask all to pray for our brother Kishon and Street Hymns!!! And, let's pray for their families :) Let's pray for one another hehe :) I like this song and "Fade" and "Maxxed Out". The 2 songs are probably my fave right now. I know we desire for his music to be exposed more or have better exposure but I know God has His way as well. I know it's good to reach a little and point that tiny number to the Lord and it equals high percentage or efficacy.. Sometimes, it can reach thousands or millions but not affect a few... Well that's not possible.. Even if it reaches the few is still a lot!! that's still a praise report. haha. I was just trying to get the point.. The way Kishon and Street excel in the battle rap scene and music. Speaking hot fire barz and Holy Ghost fire or the truth of the Word.. Hitting them with the Sword of the Spirit!... That's awesome!!! Sooner or later one person will crack, get hit by their hot barz, and turn to the Lord.. AYYYYYEE! Hallelujah! Kingdom Music. #team Jesus :)

I read someone say not to think about it too hard, and OH MY GOSH!!! This song makes so much more sense if you just listen to the lyrics simply. Even though they're from the hood, they still went to college and graduated. Instead of selling drugs, the're selling nusic. I guess you could say that their TRAP is BOOMING! Haha.

First and foremost, when you listen to a song; pay attention to the overall theme of the song. Also for line such as " all i need is a million dollar.." and others it is talking about the desires of the worldly person who makes that statement; not the rappers themself. Plus, the song is talking about how we are taught that if we get careers that are told to be good and can make you wealthy, you will be happy. Aha and Ki'shon are merely pointing this out in the song

Recently, however, it is common for the upside-down cross to be used as a symbol of atheism, humanism, and the occult. Several black metal bands use an inverted cross to call attention to their supposed devotion to Satan.

+Kaleb Kern I don't believe wearing it is good though, why is it a good thing? BTW I don't like the wearing of regular crosses.
@shepardbrostv8 жыл бұрын
+Kaleb Kern historically Yeshua was most likely hung on a straight pole. I would agree that Yeshua is the only reason we can be saved now.
@vegito10128 жыл бұрын
+Shepard Bros Films Most people were hung on poles but the worst punishment they had was crucifixion.
@matthewramsey94107 жыл бұрын
Peter was martyred by crucifixion but he insisted on being hung upside down because he deemed himself to be unworthy to die the same way Jesus died. It's stereotyped as an unholy or even satanic symbol but it also stands for humility and unworthiness.
