sorento exterior santa fe interior. those air vents just dont do it for me on the sorento. i wouldnt say no to buying a hyundai kia for a family suv

I am comparing this new sorento to the skoda kodiaq and seat tarraco ..i do not think kis is in the same level of solidity and long term reliability as skoda ..

Great review Matt. Very informative and entertaining. It was refreshing to see someone review a variant other than the GT Line. Not everyone wants the top of the line model. There weren't many extra have to have things on the GT line for my requirements, so I bought the Sport Plus. I hope to receive it next week. I didn't want the ride compromise of 20" wheels on a SUV and felt the virtual mirrors in the dash more of a distraction than a benefit, present on the GT line. The cooling seats, better leather and panoramic sunroof would have been nice, but I can live without them. Thank you. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the comment, and great choice! As much as I'd love a GT-Line with the nappa leather and just everything else, the Sport+ is the smarter buy 🙂

The HMG is really on a roll as you said Matt. With the advent of SUVs, families no longer need drive 'old school' Holden/ Falcon sedans or wagons. As for Hyundai or Kia, it's a'toss up'. Thanks again.

I don’t think it has seat memory preset in either model ? Seat comfort needs to be fixed extra padding

The Sorento looks better than the Santa Fe (both front and back), but the new Mitsubishi Outland is giving the Sorento a pretty decent challenge for looks.

Wonder what you think about driving comfort. I have the same tyres on my car and they are very noisy. These Continentals are performance focused, not for a family drive 😄

They're certainly a lot better than the Nexen tires they throw on cheaper cars 😁 Honestly ride for me was totally fine, quiet too. Heaps of tread to soak up bumps, and usually in editing I notice a lot of tire roar in cars but was thinking as I was editing it was quiet for a video of mine 🙂

I love this SUV but would wait for the Hybrid version coming to australia in early 2021. The upcoming Hyundai Santa Fe looks ugly in my opinion, the front looks like a whale shark.

I've had two Sorentos, a 2011 and a 2017 both Platinum spec. Due to health issues I am no longer able to drive and I had to recently sell the 2017 after having it for three years and only having put 3000 km on it. To say I was sorry to see her go was an understatement. I'm a thirty five year veteran of the Auto trade (the last fifteen selling parts for Kias as well as European marques) so I can probably be considered a bit biased but I wouldn't have shelled out the dollars if I thought they were an inferior car.
