Today on Buckle Up Harry and Rob go for a drive in an excellent sports saloon, and no it's not German. The Kia Stinger GTS brings serious performance with it's 3.3 litre turbocharged V6 and serious fun with is lively handling characteristics, but what do the boys think?

Found your channel this morning, as a post-facelift Stinger owner (in Electric Blue) I agree totally with your comments. Such an under rated car which was a shame for Kia but great for enthusiastic owners and people who 'get it' that it's a proper drivers car that looks amazing and drives like it looks. I still get people who have no idea that it's a Kia and ask about it and always a positive response. Have a subscribe chaps!

2 years in my Stinger, and all things considered it's the best car I've ever owned. Yes, it's a bit thirsty, but it's smiles per gallon.

Even though they say it's not quite a Sportscar, I looked up the handling skidpad g number and it's .96 g's! That's like as good or better than a C6 corvette! So the car isn't just good in a straight line but it also totally handles like a sportscar. That is an incredible number for a midsized sedan!

It's certainly one of the most underrated cars in my living memory! Admittedly I have never driven one, but from what I've been told by people who have and from what I've seen myself, it is a fabulous car. And exceptional value when compared with similar models from 'established' brands. And I do have experience being a customer of Kia, owning a Picanto and Rio, and my experience with the company was amazing throughout. I have to presume the same would go for owning one of these. Unfortunately though, it was a big gamble by Kia that just didn't pay off, at least financially: not only did they struggle with the sheer amount of badge snobbery in the UK, but also the rise of so called SUV's. Still, if it will go down in history as an insultingly underrated car, that is still pretty good for me.

Possibly, but there's a chance all big engined sports saloons will be if everything new is EV

Because we borrowed shots from Kia to save time on the day and they only had footage of a silver one given this is a car from the historic press fleet

That's not a GTS. The GTS was only available in orange during the 2019 models. You are driving a GT2.

You are incorrect. Orange paint was offered as a no-cost option on the GT-S. Also checking the specs of the car using its numberplate shows this model to, in fact, be the GT-S. 😊

@BuckleUpShow The GTS was only available to the NA market with 800 made all in orange. I'm curious to know the VIN number as there are no articles of any GTS' produced for other countries.

@BuckleUpShow The GT2 was also the only one to offer red seats for models 2018-2021 and the 22+ have the packages for them.

It's the UK - it is 100% a GTS; I'm a Stinger GTS owner...
