The wait is finally over! My apartment in Portland, OR is compete and I feel so lucky to call this place home. In this video I show you around my 533 sq foot apartment, share my favorite pieces, and at the end let you know how much I pay in rent. Huge shoutout to Article for making this space complete with the most wonderful furniture...I am seriously obsessed. For your bathroom plants, I probably wouldn’t go with succulents because they like dry environments with full sun, and a bathroom doesn’t meet either of those requirements. I work at a plant nursery and people always ask me what plants would do well in bathrooms and a lot of plants love bathrooms actually. Since your bathroom doesn’t have a window in the plants are relying on the light coming in from the other windows in your apartment, I would do a plant that can tolerate low light. And there are tons of plants that love low light and humidity because these plants are found essentially on what is on rainforest ground and tropical locations. You could try different varieties of Chinese evergreen, pothos, fern (ferns LOVE humidity), or a snake plant. If you Google or Pinterest bathroom plants you’ll get a good idea but you want to go with something low light that isn’t a cactus or succulent because they aren’t going to do well.

It’s so funny to me what Americans consider small 😅 in Germany that would be an apartment for two people. Right now I live on 290sqft and before that my apartment only had 247sqft.

@@KiaraMadisen it’s basically just one room with a double bed, dresser, clothing rack, desk, bookshelf, and a small couch. I think the hallway and the kitchen are both about 22 sqft, the kitchen has a sink, a small fridge and two hot plates. I have a bathtub in my bathroom which is kinda rare and my personal highlight 😅 And what makes a 530sqft apartment for two people (who are roommates) is that the kitchen is most often separate from the living room. So it would have two bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom, but no living room.

For a "small" site, it looks incredibly comfortable, organized, and very aesthetically pleasing. It seems that you have included everything that anyone could need to live moderately comfortable. I love the living room area because of the sofa and how cozy it looks without needing too many elements. I need a rug like that to use with my Bellini sofa from Manhattan Home Design. Bathrooms without windows are one of the few times I feel that fake plants are acceptable. If you have a white bathroom the green really makes it pop. Your apartment looks great.

Yay, finally we get to see all of it put together💕😀 Love the clean lines of arrangement of your furniture, the neutral color palette with shades of wood is lovely. I live in slightly bigger space with my husband, and many of the houses in this crowded city of Bombay are of similar size 🤷😔 You are doing a commendable job to keep it all clean and sparkling❤️🎉. The intro music had my hopes high with the tour, and it dsnt fail even a tiny bit💕 lots of love to you K✨

Beautiful space. 💖 For a small footprint you have a a lot of storage. I am working with an organizer who keeps suggesting ways of storing more stuff. I have to keep reminding her I don't need more storage I need less stuff! Found when I am decluttering with her it is much easier to make decisions on keep/donate/sell. She has knowledge on what local thrift places take what items. For example no one takes bedding or towels regardless of condition. But the local animal shelter does! Who knew? It makes me happy to think that my childhood bedding will now be snuggling a doggo or cat.

I’m in North Carolina and I have a modern brand new 2br/2ba for $1395 and it’s like 1200-1300 sq ft. It’s interesting to see what different prices gets you in different parts of the world. Really loved the couch and thinking of getting a similar one now. Love the vibes

I stayed in rooming houses in my 20s and this apartment would have been so wonderful back then at that time. Now it would be too small, but back then this place would have made me very happy!! And defently wouldn't be too small.

I love it and it’s been styled very nicely. I believe that you have enough space in your kitchen for a narrow island from ikea and then you can store your pots and pans on the bottom of it
