@@aaanton11 yes it is! I’m just trying to research into the best timing profiles to set to keep the conservatory at a steady temp that keeps condensation at bay during the late/early hours and then for it to crank up when we use it for breakfast.

@stevetaylor9899 open or install trickle vents, that you can open n close... This will help also. I lock my 3rd floor window open (My ladder isn't long enough to fit some vents) I leave the curtains open, for an hour or so, with my 700w F- Infrared panel heater on, thrn draw them and leave a gap in the curtains. Run my panel at 10° above the current dew point outside & this has worked brilliantly.

@@aaanton11 Good video, but you are wrong about the running cost I am afraid. Your plug said about 11.9KWH, which is the amount of energy (read money), not KW which is the power (read how far your are burning money), which is inline with you saying you setting it to 600W. If you set the heater to 600W, over 24 hours indeed it will burn about 10-14 KWH, which will cost you about £5-£7 at the electricity rate of £0.50/KWH.

@@bingebinge3722 600W at a max of 8 hours a day, (and I would suggest that it's going to be at least half that as it will turn itself on and off), would be 4.8kwh I pay 20pence per kwh so the total cost 96p for 8 hours is cheap ! if it's on half that such as my garage then 48p per day. A full 24 hours would be £5.76 for me

@bingebinge3722 Don't forget, that the thermostat will switch it off n on, over the set time... So, it won't be drawing the power, for the full time it is set to be on 👍👍 Obviously, if you times 1.2 or 0.6 × the cost per Kwh you pay, then you will get an hourly cost, then times it by the amount of hours you have it on for, then that would obviously be more, as it will give you the price at maximum per hour! 👍👍

Generally speaking you use these type of heaters whilst in the room. You don't leave them on 24 hours a day to maintain a temperature. They are great for that sort of job where you want to feel comfortable in an area. Excellent for heating poorly insulated spaces

@aaanton11 Already watched them mate, the garage for your lovely Yorkie, with your old stinky top in her bed haha & the loft conversion fit, at the end... I currently have a 700w White board style one, in the guest room, running on the app & Alexa. One 420w Roller blind style one, next to the bed that the the Mrs likes, that's transparent, but you can get it with pictures on. I bought a thermostat plug 4 this. Just got the new Kiasa heater, like the one in your video, but the new rounded style being sold now, but it's the same thing, only the style has changed a little. That's why I was asking about the clearances, from the ceiling & below etc above. I'm fitting it, in my living room above the sliding door, that has a wooden plinth. But the wall above it is circa 80cm in height. All the best 👍

Understandable point you make, however the point of radiant heaters is that they shine warmth onto you and onto objects that then in turn radiate that warmth onto you, giving personal comfort. I have 2 Infra Red heaters in my 18' x 18' workshop that has an open vaulted roof, no ceiling and no insulation. The 2 heaters at 1.5kw each get the room comfortable very quickly enabling me to switch down to just one heater and maintain a comfortable working space. Prior to these, I had a 3kw industrial fan heater which didn't even come close to raising the temperature to a comfortable level and was thus useless. For well insulated and draught free spaces, conventional air heating is great. But for poorly insulated spaces, radiant is the way to go. All of the above is from personal hands on experience, not just hearsay.

It's like working outside on a cold day but when the sun is out. You still feel warm in the sun even if the air is still cold.
