The graves of David and Paula Ben-Gurion overlook a breathtaking view of the Tsin canyon and the Avdat highlands in the heart of the Negev. Here I saw the parking lot that I parked my car, and while my small group looked over the view I run to the Tomb of Ben Gurion and his wife Paula to lay a stone as you, Relaxing Walker did. I did that in reverent for the first Prime-minister of Israel, a country I love so deeply since many years backwards. May I soon will be able to come back.

This unassuming man and his wife Paula...left the easy life in Tel Aviv to become a beacon for young Israelis to embrace the Wastelands/Desert as their future. Helping found "Sde Boker" ("Morning Fields")... In such desolation was created an Oasis! He also set the foundation stone for the Ben Gurion University of the Negev. All this he bequeathed to his nation, and showed by example what could be done and accomplished..! My memory of this place was again me at 16 on a student tour for the summer of 1964. A Peach! Not just any peach but STILL the best peach I ever tasted in my life. It was large, perfectly blushed, absolutely gushing with perfumed juice. None has ever compared to that moment of perfection! Thank you for placing a stone on his grave ...a true blessing! Now Sde Boker has grown out of its humble beginnings...beautifully landscaped (I especially appreciate the path made to look like a desert-dry riverbed (wadi) ...and were those Ibex ?? Obviously well treated by the visitors and kibbutzniks...a great accent to a great walk...thanks.

С вами всегда интересно. Увидеть место , где похоронен Бен Гурион очень волнительно. И съемки высокого класса. Тема очень увлекательная. Был здесь в 1993 году по пути в Эйлат. Как все похорошело.
