Күн бұрынIn today’s episode, I finally start my big trip from Sabang sampai Merauke. Without any time limit, I set out to explore all of Indonesia, solo, on my KTM 390 Adventure aka. Turangga. Setting off from Kuningan, I go to Thrill Bitz in Jakarta, to say goodbye to my friends, before going to Merak Seaport for the departure to Bakauheni port in Lampung.
First day on the road and I crashed, drove at night in Lampung and I was followed by a suspicious man, a REALLY exciting day! 😆 Stay tuned for more upcoming videos, as I set out to explore Indonesia from a motorcycle.

A little tip, if you walk the Sumatran route. Never do it at night. Set the time and distance how long it will take to get to the next place so you don't have to spend the night on the road. As a Sumatran, I know very well how the Sumatran route is, especially for motorcyclists. Be careful on the way. See you in Palembang City

I can't say how proud i am for you. All i can say is thank you, thank you, thank you for exploring Indonesia. As a native here, i am extremely happy that you realize how beautiful Indonesia is and you are doing this journey, but also i'm a little bit sad that someone from another country is one of the first person in Indonesia doing this kind of adventure and native Indonesians are doing trips overseas but never explore their own country. Hi kris, I was a Sumatran rider. 05.00 PM riding in all southern Sumatra area is dangerous is a bit too much for me as a Sumatran rider ☺ don't worry too much kris, the only time you should avoid riding in the southern area is between midnight to dawn (around 11 P.M - 5 A.M) riding between 5 PM - 10 PM still considered to be safe. By the way, have a nice ride, kris, welcome to sumatra 🥰

Always loved such long distance trip which reminds me of my younger days travelling through several countries, exploring rural lifestyles and extremely friendly villagers which are hard to come by in city life. The arrival with a stalker seems dramatics, was pretty worried and turns out to be a great gestures. Friends in Indonesia never failed to impress with their hospitalities. Speaking from my personal experiences as well. Fantastic video Kris. Keep it up.

This is my dream to ride across the whole islands of my own country! By the way my father from Batujagar, Samosir Island, Toba Lake, North Sumatera. Please be careful of the animals like cobra, aligator, tiger, etc. They are still exists on Sumatera. Be safe and have a great adventure Kris!👊

3:38 wow those are some serious laugages you have there , even much more than when i take to travel Europe to Australia on my motorcycle . small tips : dont take too much stuff with you on your adventure , you dont need all of them . Specialy in country like Indonesia, in my experience riding in Indonesia, there are so many things on the Roads like Foods even if your motorcycle need to repair, basicly is not like riding in remote places you can not find something . Just like the other had mentioned, don't ride at night in forests area..its dangerous Also I think you can follow BMKG and BNPB for weather and disaster report.

Many times in your video, you admire the kindness and the hospitality of Indonesians but to be honest I also have to say that you are the most friendly European man who is now living in Indonesia. I can't believe you actually doing this for real.. your vlog journey is always interesting to watch. You gave us detail information even the distance from Jakarta and the population in certain year. I can't believe there is a foreigner who would do a journey from Sabang to Merauke by Motorcycle. And I will follow your journey from KZfaq from the beginning, it's gonna be interesting..
