Kickstarting my 2006 Kawasaki KDX200

Cold starting kickstart of my 2006 KDX200. Though I don't really ride it much anymore, I still usually try to start it up every few weeks to keep the fluids cycled through the bike ... but it's mostly just to hear that 2 stroke rev! Yes, at one point in the video, I misspoke saying "kick stand" instead of "kickstart". The wind was a little cold and my brain freezes easily. :-)

In the great southern metropolis that is Dothan Alabama. Oh, and I think my neighbors love when I crank and warm up my KDX. 😁

You are better off leaving fuel in the carb rather than leaving it empty. When empty, seals and pipes go brittle.

I try to start up and run my bikes every few weeks to keep the fluids circulated, but you bring up an interesting perspective to consider for having my bikes sit a lot longer without use. Thanks. 👍
