Holosun makes a HE407 that goes for around $245 and it has similar features as the 508T. And you can certainly find more inexpensive brands that offer reflex sights for around $100.

I have just bought one and I plan to do this to it and I know the case has an optic cut out but when you store it did you just end up cutting a place for the light, or do you not even put it back in the case at all?

Because I use this as a home defense weapon, I keep this firearm in a quick access safe in the house. But if I remember correctly, though there is a cut out area in the case for a reflex sight when it’s mounted on the TTI Combat, you still may need to cut it out a little more depending on your optic model.

What screws did you use to mount your optic? The screws that came in the mini gun tool kit or the screws that came with your optic??? Reason I asked is bc the owner’s manual states to use screws from tool kit, but the screws in my tool kit aren’t long enough to secure my SRO and the included optics plate…
@brandonwatsonmedia
@brandonwatsonmedia 9 күн бұрын
That’s a good question. The 508T comes with 4 different sizing sets of mounting screws and I believe I used one of those. If I remember correctly, the default screws that hold the default TTI optic plate - the one that matches the look of the gun - will not work.

@@brandonwatsonmedia Thanks for the response!!! Yes; you are correct. The T10 optic plate screws inside the tool kit are the exact same T10 mounting screws (extra set of screws and washers) that mount the slide plate cover and are insufficient. The only other set of screws inside the tool kit were the T20 screws for use with the MECANIK optic… I contacted Canik via email and waiting for a response, but I do have other #6-32 x 7/16 Flat Head Socket Cap Screws that I’ve always used on other SROs/RMRs; but I was hesitant bc the owner’s manual clearly stated use only the included tool kit screws. @@harelyahuchananyasharel54 Absolutely my friend! It can be confusing, because on the other side, the Holosun 508T Owner's Manual states to: Use either the included screws or screws supplied with your slide or from your gunsmith and tighten to 15 INCH/lbs using a nonpermanent (medium/blue) thread locker. Those included 508T screws come with that blue thread locker on the them.

If you get the Model 3 Wheel Blade Style Cover Hubcaps, I would recommend that you use a piece of double-sided 3M adhesive tape to attach the colored Tesla center piece stickers to the wheel covers. I do not believe that the adhesive that comes on the stickers is strong enough to stay on the wheel cover. Other than that, those Blade Style Cover wheel covers are really nice.

Definitely can't go wrong with a Trijicon SRO. Though they are twice the price, you are absolutely getting an verifiably proven product. Since you can switch out the 508T to three different reticle types, it does give you the option of going with just a dot and no circle. I'm still going back and for with which reticle I like best. Currently I'm using just the circle on the TTI, but I use just the dot on all my other firearms. Thanks for watching and commenting!

@brandonwatsonmedia Ай бұрын
I feel that question might be the most important one to consider. A BIG part of your "Tesla Experience" will greatly depend on how free you feel you are to just charge and drive as you desire. I always recommend to perspective Tesla owners, that if they are able to, you really need to have a Level 2 charger installed at your home. Level 1 charging is going to average only 3 miles of range per hour of charge. For you, that would need to be at least 14 hours of charging time a day with a Level 1 charger. Definitely something to consider.

A Level 2 EV charger will output between 3 to 19.2 kilowatts (kW) in the United States and up to 22 kW in Europe, providing 10 to 75 miles (16 - 120 km) of range per hour of charging.

This just happened to me yesterday (May 2024) but my head was close to the explosion and I'm lucky that the only effect is a ringing in my ears. I took the battery out of off-season storage where it was temp controlled and hooked to a charger. The battery is for my boat lift. It didn't work. A few days later (yesterday) I tried again and when I turned the key on the boat lift it was like a bomb went off. I felt the concussion and the neighbors all came out. Short story after speaking with someone from the boat lift company: he said "there wasn't enough water in it". I understand batteries now are sealed but mine was a green interstate battery like yours and had removable caps (which exploded upward). Anyone who has a deep cycle marine battery should make sure they understand if they need to monitor the (distilled) water levels in the battery. I was saved by the fact that I was in a squat position to get the key turned and the battery was above my head and exploded upward.

If your friend's extension cord was the common kind you would get from say a hardware store, Walmart, etc., then it was probably a 16 or maybe even a 14 gauge wire cord. This Polar Solar extension cord is a 10 gauge wire cord. It is considered an Extra Heavy Duty cord for use of up to 20 amps. Its extremely think and heavy. I have not used a Lectron L1 charger, and like the Tesla L1 charger, I would guess that the manual says to not use an extension cord. But if you are going to use one, then yes, this is the type of extension cord you want to use. I have used it on a few occasions and it never even got warm to the touch. Hope this helps.

Yes, the setup absolutely still works with no issues. Please keep in mind that I just use this for situations where the only way to charge is a standard home wall outlet that is located too far away to plug in with just the Level 1 charging cord. The rough charging calculation from a standard wall outlet is 120 volts and it will supply about 3 miles of range per hour of charge. So being optimistic, 10 hours charging for 30 miles, and 100 hours charging for 300 miles. If it is really cold where you are charging, these numbers can be a little less.
