This album is pretty inconsistent but there are like 5-7 songs on here that i come back to all the time. I also love how Cudi produced the whole album.

Yeah, there’s some ones in the middle that aren’t so great as Jon pointed out it’s a mixed bag of an album. Still like a solid 6.5-7/10 though.

I went back and Listened to A Kid Named Cudi. I disagree. Some GREAT tracks that were even used on his first album. I still think MOTM 1 is better.

This album is absolutely all over the place and I love it. You learn a sort of method to the madness of a lot of the songs after a couple of listens. Some of my favorite cudi songs on here.

I will admit this project has probably the largest range of quality between tracks of any record in his discography. The good songs are excellent and the bad songs are absolute garbage.

I think the synths on Girls just are so mesmerizing that at times they do let me paper over some of the song's other weaknesses. But sometimes that's Cudi for you. Love it!

Never got around to listen to this album but recently it was playing while I was tripping and I decided to listen to the whole album and fell In love with it. So underrated. Felt like kid cudi was just speaking to me personally. Definitely made for the acid lovers. Also keep up the great work Jon! Definitely made my day dropping this review today.

'Just what I am' not only got me into Kid Cudi, but a whole new genre of music. An absolutely outstanding piece of music. I always listen to the music before the lyrics, and this song got me in two waves: first the music, then the lyrics. It gets me in the feels.

Definitely Cudi's most underrated album, I love the fact that he self produced every track which really gives this whole thing an otherworldly atmosphere, it's one of my personal favorites from Cudi and it has some my favorite tracks from him such as Unfuckwittable, Just What I Am, Immortal, and Cold Blooded.

The way I’ve always interpreted this album is a man going insane on a hill. The roughness of the production is the manic emotions, and the features are all hallucinations. I love this album. Something about it is entrancing in an intimidating way. Especially Young Lady, Mad Solar, Red Eye, and Unfuckwittable
