Coming off a yz250 into a beta 300rr race the number one issue I had was the beta did not want to corner worth a crap compared to my yz! The beta would go wide, climb out of ruts, and be super slow to respond to inputs. The yz was precise and quick to turn and locked into ruts like it was on rails. Ended up having to have suspension entirely re done on the beta and now it feels even better than the yz did. Kept stock springs but switched to shorter pressure springs as well as race tech revallve. Love my beta now. But prior to the suspension getting done I almost sold it in less than 20 hrs.

Yep, my boy started blowing his yz125 almost every race it felt like. Got to the point he started getting more DNFs than finishes. Hopefully you boy likes the YZ250. Probably the most modable bike in the history of dirtbikes. Thanks for the baja email response too.

wounder how he would like the beta 200 race edition. i have 2 of the funnest bikes i have had in a long time. A beta 200 race 2024 and a 2022 crf250r suspension valves for single track/enduro. everybody that has rode the 200 is just blowed away with how responsive the motor is and how low it will pull, even has a very health hit and topend.

That corner thing will get better as he learns to utilize the torque better. These bikes have zero issues carrying speed in and out of corners so it’s just adapting his 125 mindset. Though, if he rides it like one with proper gearing he is going to really be hauling ass. Wish I could get my son to enjoy riding as much as yours, I’m jealous.

It's definitely time for him to move to a bigger bike, I always get nervous riding next to a barbed wire fence, those things can really do a number on you.

he needs the yz250 that will carry better speed in the long sweeping corners and those things love to rev!!!! 300 are nice but they are torque monsters for sure

Hey man….I’m having all kinds of trouble with my new Beta 300 RE. Jetting issues and now it seems I’ve fouled my plugs. I’m up in Idaho and my dealerships absolutely suck at customer service. Is there anyway I can get some advice from you on it.?? Please…?? Haha. 🏁🍻

I like to do big changes to see if we are going in the right direction I personally don’t believe in 1 click adjustments. I am not good enough. I feel like the sweet spot is a bigger range than what a lot of people think. Also, I knew that the bike was set up super squishy for H E so it needed a big adjustment
