Cause the movies are terrible, a good series that had Megatron end everything and not die was prime, if you haven’t seen it I recommend it

Because Michael Bay actively hated Transformers as a franchise and couldn't be bothered to put that much effort into such a huge and complex character shift. Not to mention Megatron's very first appearance is him as a mustache twirling villain so Autobot Megatron definitely would not have worked.

Fun fact, the original ending for Transformers Dark of the Moon had Megatron and Optimus forming a truce and finally stopping the war, but the higher-ups wanted it more open ended for more sequels so they just had Optimus execute him. This ending did stay in the novelization iirc

It’s not everyday I stumble on a new channel doing Death Battle reactions that I actually really like. I’d definitely tune in for more as Death Battle is one of my favorite shows on the web. Especially any from Season 10 (the season this episode is from) where the episodes are just absolute bangers. And in case you’re wondering, the music that is playing during the battles are custom made specifically for the fights. The song in this one is called “Final Formers” by Brandon Yates if you want to give it a listen. EDIT: Also, Frieza said “cretinous” in that one scene. Not “prejudiced”.

To be fair megatron isn't a bad guy he just thought what's best for he's people. As there was no evil autobots to begin with. But there will always be that one to change everything

You guys should for sure do more death battles, some good ones are dontai vs bayonetta Scarlett Witch vs Zatanna Bill Cypher vs Discord Scorpion vs Ryu Darth Vader vs Obito Even Jason Voorhees vs Michael Myers which if you do decide to react to more would be a wonderful one to watch with Halloween around the corner

Granted the Hakai blast came from a God of Destruction that was considered the weakest among them I believe, doesn’t change the fact he managed to tank through it. No way he’ll survive a Hakai blast from Beerus though
