@@a_boundless_plangency I agree I'm just saying CPS even with a lot of proof can't just remove a child easily. I mean look even after this the dad still had to fight for custody, after the mother's boyfriend slit her kids throat the mother still had custody rights. So I guarantee CPS was trying to get the kids out but the way the laws work is they have to basically have video of the mother abusing her kids for CPS to take kids away. Really if you want to say who failed these kids it's the judge because I guarantee CPS filed a order to remove and a judge said naw we wanna keep kids with the mom

There are so many stories of CPS taking children away from loving families for the most stupid reasons, yet they allow abuse like this to go unchecked. What is just as alarming is the failure of the Citizen Review Panels to effectively hold CPS accountable for their poor decision making. There needs to be a more powerful & independent review board focused on CPS.

Not mentioned in this video is that just last year, Sayeh was named lead investigator on a case where a school principal was accused of sexually abusing students. She's really gone on to save lives. Edited to add: The trial for that principal started this week, I think. It's local news for me, so I'll try to edit this comment when the verdict is in. Final Edit: The jury found him guilty of 46 out of 50 charges including sexual assault and endangering of a minor. The maximum sentence is 20 years in prison (I have no idea if that’s per conviction or for all charges at once).

Absolutely and unfortunately single mothers are targets for children to be abused! You cannot be sure that a man wants to be with you to gain access to your children. 😢 I made the decision after separating from my child’s father that I would remain a single mother until my child is an adult. Working in law, unfortunately we see the same formulaic predatory behaviour of children being abused by step fathers… it is enough for me to stay single and keep my child safe. Single mothers please please PLEASE reconsider inviting another man into your home. You may think being without a partner is lonely and unbearable, but the damage from your child being abused cannot be undone and you WILL blame yourself. It is not just drug addicted mothers who get caught up in this, believe you me, I see it weekly in my job and it is rife!

My utmost respect to this most wonderful elder sister who in the most fearful moment could still try to calm and comfort her little sister who must have thought she had dropped dead . Her great presence of mind saved her life but unfortunately her little sister couldn't repeat the pretence because the killer was around and she had to die in great fear😟😔. She's meant to bring the murderer to justice and to avenge her little sister and protect small kids in the future which she is doing just that🙏👍😌

Unfortunately, no...the mother did not change. She laid low for a few years after the trial, then sued the father for full custody after the children finally refused to come to Florida to visit her. Florida granted her full custody because "the father denied the mother her custody rights by not sending the children to Florida," but New York courts refused to recognize the order. The mother kept trying to bring the father to court for years after that until Sayeh turned 18. She still tried to get full custody of the younger brother but finally gave up after a few months. Even when they did visit her, Sayeh reported "everything would be fine for two or three days, then she'd start yelling at us, hit my brother and tried hitting me, then drop us off at relatives." The mother is a complete POS, who STILL doesn't give two sh*ts about her children, and as far as I've been able to find out has never been punished by the State of Florida.

What about the "mother" who brought all of this into her innocent children's lives? Bringing random men home at all hours of the night and giving them free reign over her kids. Leaving her children ALONE with these strangers and turning her head when this man would take her daughter to be alone with him. A couple years ago, we visited her," Sayeh said. "The first two days would be fun and then it would go back to the same way it was. She'd drop us off at a relative's house for a few days. She'd yell at us, she'd hit my brother, she'd try hitting me." Pafford denies the claims, contending that her ex-husband has poisoned her ties to their children. Rivazfar stopped sending the children for unsupervised visits after Christmas 1994. If he does not bring them to Florida for eight weeks beginning Saturday, he could be arrested That bitch was able to get a judge to order unsupervised visitation even after this happened and she played the victim saying her daughter lied about her being abusive to her and her brother she threw blame on the innocent dad saying he brainwashed the kids, the nerve of that wench she doesn't take any responsibility for what happened to her children smh.

Why are single mothers portrayed as desperate? Also, why highlight mothers when there are single fathers out there too? You can have a perfectly normal dating life as a single parent. In this case, the mother was an abusive alcoholic.... a bad parent regardless of who she dated. It is unsurprising that she made poor choices.

She left the abuser after OTHER ppl noticed the abuse but she failed to tell her kids what was going on and that he should no longer be in their life. They were kidnapped by someone they knew and he was able to use that against them. P.s. NOT single mother's but single parents. Dad's neglect kids for their gfs a lot. It happened to my first child. He left us to starve for his secret gf and lied about being depressed and suicidal. Then bagged me to take him back and I almost did until I found out he dated someone else and we were intimate during that time. He got pissed at me and went crazy messing with me, disappeared for a while with her. I filed for child support and he began messing with me through courts and married the girl to look more stable so he had an upper hand. He knew I would put our child before other relationships. Anyway, thanks to his crazy ways and messing with me, I found the love of my life and had more kids and very happy today. Yes, we should always out kids first, they are not an item or a thing to be divided and their well being is more important that trying to get back at your ex or any selfish way.

She had a new boy friend and that’s all she cared about. It would have been ok if that was how she left it but she came back when I was ten, and instead of finally becoming the Mum we should have had she subjected us more of her abuse. She hated me, but I was a kid and I didn’t deserve it. She abuse me as baby till I was six and then comes back to do it again. There is no excuse she could ever give that makes what she did ok. I would like to shake her hand someday. What a terrible introduction she was given to this world. She learned about the worst experiences life has to offer right out of the gate, and she powered on through them with righteous spiritual love. I am however saddened to think of how much stress she has to manage in the aftermath. To see her as an adult today, she comes across and healthy, beautiful and strong, with a career and insight, and is a glowing example of healing to me. I know there must've been a process to this place in her life, I'm curious to hear more of her insight into the other side of trauma. I have a lil sis. I'm extremely protective of her. I can't imagine how much pain Sayeh went through. Knowing her sister needs help but was not being able to help her must have been so horrible. Sayeh is a strong warrior, a true survivor and an inspiration

This is such a bittersweet story. She is so extremely strong to fight not only for herself to fight to stay alive BUT to make sure her sister got the justice that she deserved!!!! May Sarah’s sweet soul be at peace!! It’s so awesome she grew up to continue the fight as she became a highway patrol!! Good for you girl!! Good for you!! ❤

I am infuriated by mothers like the one in this case who put alcohol and their drunken libidos before their own children. My own mother dealt with this with her drunk of a foster mother and my mom ended up raped and nearly killed by it at 18 months old. From then on she ended up being regularly sexually assaulted by her foster mother’s many one-night stands. I’m not saying that single mothers shouldn’t be allowed to date but they shouldn’t let these people around their children. Pedophiles regularly target single mothers because they want access to the child(ren) and single mothers often let their guards down because they’re lonely and just grateful to find someone who they believe wants them even though they have children. This happened with my mother in the sense that she married my father and willfully conceived me with him in hopes of having a daughter despite the fact that she knew my father was a convicted pedophile. As a result my life was just like hers in the sense that my father sexually abused me from infancy until I was about 13-14 years old. I believe that he sexually assaulted some of my friends but I don’t have any proof. I think my mother was willfully ignorant and was able to remain as such because I didn’t tell her what my dad was doing to me and no other children came forward with accusations so in her mind he was honoring her promise to never reoffend. If you are a single mother and trying to date I plead with you to know your partners inside and out before you even entertain the thought of having them around your children. If you want to just have some fun one-night stands, fine, but don’t bring these people into your house and fall asleep where they can have access to your children. Have the encounters at your partners’ homes, hotel rooms, anywhere but at home if your kids are there. And if you find out your partner is a pedophile, even if they were only ever arrested and charged for it once, don’t believe them when they try to sell you some story about how it was a misunderstanding or how they’ve changed. My father was only ever convicted once but that just meant he was only ever caught once. Once a pedophile, always a pedophile. Some dick is not worth your child’s sanity or possibly even their life. And just because they’re sleeping with you doesn’t mean that they don’t want to hurt your children. To them, sleeping with you is a means to an end. If you value your partner over your children you are scum. You’re as vile as the perpetrator you exposed your kids to.

I'm so sorry that you went through this! Even if your mother was also a victim in the beginning she stopped being that when she knowingly got with a pedophile and trusted his untrue words. Hope you're in a safe environment right now and working on healing! Sending many virtual hugs! You're right about single mothers vetting their boyfriends better before introducing them to their children by the way!

This story is crazy. I can't believe that despite going though that hell herself she birthed a child into this world for her pedophile husband to abuse. I'm so sorry

Thank you. I just don’t want any children to end up like me. I’m a disaster, mental health-wise and at 40 I’m only now beginning to dig into my past with a trusted therapist and trying to climb out of this hole I’m in. If I can educate one mother to keep her partner away from her kids until she feels with the most certainty that she can that it’s safe then I’ve achieved some meaning out of my experience. That’s what I hope for.
