Any Namez it’s both, it’s a collaboration between one of the most lyrically complex MC’s (MF DOOM) and one of the best hip-hop producers in the genre (Madlib), so you can except a lot of great bars and complex rhyme schemes while getting some very interesting, creative, and experimental instrumentals. It is truly one of the greatest hip-hop albums.
@jickamangah4 жыл бұрын
@@anynamez7048 If Madvillainy was an instrumental album, it would be up there as one of the greatest instrumental hip hop projects of all time (alongside J Dilla's Donuts, for example). Put MF DOOM's insane rhymes over it and you get one of the most narratively interesting rap albums. Certainly the most unbreakable abstract hip hop album. It's rare that you get an album where you not only can't decide what's the highest point on the album, but when you have 10 to 12 different high points that you just play on repeat until it's engrained into your head.

Also I love his album Indicud. There’s a lot of features including Kendrick Lamar

I think a lot of fans would like the first 2 album but I really think you should start with Indicud

Maybe it’s bc I’m part of the new generation, but as a 19 year old I fucking LOVE seeing someone who is presumably over 30-35 enjoy and actually understand this shit. I wish my relatives and even my dad could be this open and into new sound and music🔥🔥🔥🔥

It was a bit of a surprise. I assumed I wouldn't like it because Fantano likes it! ;-)

The Mercurial Number Six hasn’t he liked most of these records you’ve done recently?

like the ones you’ve done are some of his highest scores

I've disagreed with him on a few records in the past. These ones I've been listening to though are simply suggestions in my comments section therefore I would assume they will all be great... otherwise people wouldn't suggest them? However, I'm not sure I care about Fantano style reviews any more. The people who watch them have already listened to the music and just want him to like what they like. A kind of validation. Very different from the printed music reviews of the past which you actually used to inform yourself of whether you should buy something. Nothing against Fantano and his viewers. I like Fantano and I am a viewer. It's just that I see arguments when someone doesn't like something that you like. But opinions are so personal it's kind of odd to hold one person's opinion up as more valid than another's. Although we then get into the realms of how much 'music education/knowledge' plays a part. And so on... :-)

The instrumentals/beats are on high with emotions and kid Cudi and Kanye bring the best out of each other...features were phenomenal as well
