Duddeeeeeee. The high gain example tone and playign was sooooooo sooo good mannn. Those are lithiums?????? Both? I didnt expect them to be so good for high gain applications

After seeing this guitar, all other 'traditional' shapes just look so unnecessarily large. So much body and headstock that isn't required.

the more body the bassier and more full the tone when it comes to cleans atleast

How's does the neck thru design of the Vader compare to kiesel bolt on design as far as upper fret access? Any info is greatly appreciated!

It's available with a Korina neck as well, 5 & 7pc necks too.

I’m learning to respect Kiesel guitars more and more, heck especially after finding out that is was carvin guitars. I really like what Jeff Kiesel has done.

@5:43 and @ 5:45 the B string, 10th (?) fret sounds muffled. Was it playing or setup or am I wrong?

Nah, too harsh on yourself, man... that was the only slip in your session. On your playing with other pickup positions, I noticed you hit that note straight clean. Thanks a lot for the review!

Wow I really like that sound. Actually I think that the mid gain sounds heavier than the high gain. Is there any chance you record a metal riff but with that setup of 6:20 and 7:00? Thanks

I think it wouldn't sound very good when playing the usual metal riffs :/ It's kinda fuzzy

Soulhenge fuzzy? It's so much clearer and defined than the full distortion :) Anyways, I love the sound on that guitar. I never imagined it would be so different just because of the different parts layout. To bad is out of reach for me. Thanks for the video.

Man always loved the vader models... its just such a pain in the ass to ship them to the UK! have you had a look at the chris letchford sigs from kiesel?

Yeah man it sucks to import them, fees are enormous. Yes, however I prefer the Vader over that one (look-wise, haven't played a CL)

kevicusmusic . I ordered a VM8 and I live in south africa. It is't an issue. You will pay import duties and it make some time but its worth it

I would look at Strandberg. Those are made in Sweden. They are also high quality, affordable, custom built, forward thinking guitars for modern players.

+Old Goat the Antichrist The "affordable" strandbergs are made in Korea (and still cost around 2k) and the real custom ones made in sweden are like 3-4 if not 5k depending on the specs. For that price I'd go crazy on a Kiesel build ;)

have you tried their new bolt on headless? They look a little cooler than this one (IMO), but there is wood material under the tuners. Just wondering if they are much more difficult than the Vader to get fingers on. Oh also- thanks for playing chords on this demo. For those of us just now thinking about multiscale, chording difficulty is one of the big complaints I see people have about multiscale in general, but most demos are single note runs and metal

In fact my clean sound is DI with some reverb on it (and I think also an EQ and compressor). I can upload a pure DI to my soundcloud if you like!

suspicionofdeceit c I own an lpm6 and the fret work is the best I've ever played my friend has a syn gates custom and it feels kinda cheap in comparison

5 way switch or 3 way switch depends on the guitarist necesities...not everyone's gonna use the 5 positions in a song

I think the twang is more related to the POD HD you use. I have a vader and never heard something like that with my fractal AX8. I'll buy another modeller asap if I were you, line 6 sounds pretty crappy , boxy and totally artificial :(

Feel free to download the DI track of this guitar (link in the description) and tell me how it sounds through your rig! I've played this through several amps and the twangyness is definitely the guitar. I should have included a clip of it being played dry.

First off why get a really figured wood as a body type and then cover it in paint so you cant see the figuring???? Bad choice there that probs made the instrument cost more.

Go watch Frank Fleckstein's original review of this Vader, it was his guitar. Why not choose black limba because you simply want a black limba body? It has a nice twang to the sound. It is a nice sound changing upgrade and definitely cheaper than going for trans-finishes + a top so it looks good. and by the way I think you were looking for the word "understatement" which fits this instrument pretty well ;)

Some people choose woods as tone woods and not visual woods, or for preference. Swamp ash looks amazing is often pretty figured but I’d still cover it in paint.
