ミツバチの巣箱を点検に行ったらキイロスズメバチに襲撃されていましたがミツバチたちは結構余裕で蜜を集めに行ったりしてました。集団で襲撃してくるオオスズメバチと違って単独で襲撃してくるキイロスズメバチはそこまでの驚異ではないようです。そしてちょっと狩りも下手でずっと巣箱の周りをウロウロしてました。スズメバチトラップを仕掛けてそのまま帰ってきました。
When I went to inspect the bee nest, it had been attacked by yellow wasps, but the bees were still collecting honey as usual, although they were wary. Unlike the giant wasps, which attack in groups, the yellow wasps, which attack alone, do not seem to be such a threat. Moreover, they are poor hunters, so they were hanging around the nest all the time. I set a wasp trap and went home.
