Chris Poland… playing Fusion influenced guitar in Metal wayyy before it became a common thing. He was really a ground breaker.

He's my favorite Megadeth guitarist by far. The others are amazing, but Chris has that jeu ne se quoi; a certain brooding savagery to his playing that helped make those 1st 2 albums what they were. I love that Chris Poland came back for "The System Has Failed". Such great guitar solos on that album.

Chris and Gar both had that whole fusion jazz background playing together in The New Yorker's. Both of those guys were just on a whole 'nother level.
